Hi bros,
I was wondering where I might find these in Bkk:
some sort of extension for a short-sleeved shirt for golf.
Some golfers wear a short-sleeved polo shirt for the game, but with these extensions they can just slip
these funnel-like sleeves down the arms so that the arms are covered and protected from the sun.
I'm making enquiries for a friend, and I haven't seen them before myself (I'm not a golfer).
Any help with this would be much appreciated, thanks!

I have seen the sleeves on sale at several golf shops in Thaniya Plaza near Silom. Also have seen them in many golf pro shops

Extensions? Why not buy a long-sleeves shirt?
The same as you buy either shorts or long trousers. You do not buy extensions for your shorts.

There are long sleeve golf shirts and there are short sleeve golf shirts.
I use short sleeve and a few of my buddies use long sleeve. I have NEVER heard of extensions that would be, presumably, zippered or buttoned on to a regular shirt.
The Japanese have everything else for golf, maybe they make extensions also....but I seriously doubt it.

I've seen the Japanese extension sleeves at a golf course pro shop.
The reason for the extension sleeves is quite simply not to just put sleeves on a short sleeved shirt. It is of primary interest to Thai (and other Asian) females who do not want to cook their arms to a golden tan (or darker color) while on the golf course. Vanity.

There were several shops selling them in Thaniya Plaza as of a few weeks ago. THink I saw the extension sleeves at Natural Park and Panya Indra courses in Bangkok within last 6 months or so.

Just an update.
These golf sleeves do exist. (thanks farangene)
I got them at a shop in Thaniya Plaza. They were on sale at 150 Bt a pair.
Male golfers use them as well, to protect themselves from unecessary sunburn, and it's more convenient to pull the sleeves off (voila! short sleeves!) once they're in the shade, than to 'bunch up' the upper arms with folded/rolled up long sleeves. A convenience thing.
