If for some reason you really want to buy them here and are looking for good quality stuff check out The Ball in Hand, ex-Megabreak, at the Rajah Hotel on Soi 4. http://www.theballinhand.com/ - great place for serious pool.

I have a question that Olorin has maybe already answered. 2 actually 1) Where can I buy a 2 piece cue stick - my budget is 4-6 thou? 2) Best place to take my girl for pool playing. Not interested in "winner owns the table" ala GT - but we rent the table per hour. I am going to hit those 3 clubs in the Raja area tonight. 2 on Raja side & one on NEP side.

If you are in Bamboo Bar, you could ask for Neng (the regular pool shark). He sells cues on the side.
If you'd like to rent the table on an hourly basis, Bamboo bar does that in the afternoons till about 5 pm or so, so does Ball in Hand, although they'd be more expensive, but better tables and much better cues.

MarkC, sorry but I haven't seen one of those tables anywhere in Asia...
DotCom, you can buy a Taiwanese made cue for that price at the Ball in Hand. And I'm not getting a commission there, just a happy player. 
Also the Red Parrot Bar at the Surawong end of Patpong (first floor) sells cues, as does Brunswick, further down Sukhumvit Soi 4. Not sure about their price vs. quality ratio.
Those 3 places also rent tables by the hour. Ball in Hand is not cheap, about 200 Baht per hour, not sure about the other places.
And Bamboo Bar is lots of fun too, love playing pool and listening to live music at the same time.

If someone wants a professional quality cue case or laminated cue tips, there is a well-known company in Changmai that makes them called Talisman. This is professional quality stuff used by the world’s greatest players. But I don't know if their Thailand prices are any better than what you could get if you ordered the stuff over the internet (except for the fact you would not pay shipping charges).

If you just want a decent but fairly inexpensive cue, many of these are made in Taiwan (as mentioned above).
You could also try the Philippines if you make it over there. I saw many cues for sale in PI, but not sure where they were made.

Olorin - I took your advice - through persistence I found Ball in Hand - Not well signed. Spoke to the owner - terrific guy Tim I think. He showed me what he has. I bought a cue for 4250 & a case for 1000. Pool is 4 baht a minute - 240 per hour. Really outstanding place. Sorry I didn't get to visit all those other places - found what I needed at the first stop. Tim reckons that his place is tops in BKK - I can see what he means. Serious pool place. We played for 2 hours ( me & Miss T who has stopped smoking because I asked her to). My cue is still there sleeping with his friends.
btw - the music at Ball in Hand is second to none - they play Lynard Skynard INXS - Bruce Springsteen - AC/DC Santana & heaps of other great bands. It may not be as loud as BBB but man - does that bring back memories.
