Have never noticed any before..probably because I was otherwise involved. This time I need to travel directly from Bkk to Canada in January. Anyone have any idea where I can buy some business-casual winter clothing in Bangkok?

I'll go with Factory Outlet Store - newest branch in the new Big C - Pratunam - opposite World Trade Center.
Other branches - Amarin Plaza & Ploenchit Center.

Then that wouldn't be "serious winter clothing". North Face - if it is here - is serious. Think ski - mountaineering.

Ohhh but this is very serious. I am working in the middle east and need to be in Toronto in mid January 2005 for business. I really don't have any suitable clothing here. Also I have this tradition of New Years eve in Bangkok. What to do :- (
One option is to go to Atlanta maybe, buy some warm business-casual clothing, and then go to Toronto. Still I think New Year's Eve in Atlanta is really not very interesting.
I've purchased clothing in Bkk before, but never noticed anything really warm. Silks, cottons and light woolens are not serious enough. Thought maybe someone had info about shops that carry heavy garments. Help!!!!! A tradition is at stake.

Just bring a second bag with your canada colds weather clothing, and leave it checked at the airport until you leave.

ccvvbb....Can you give me any more info about North Face Siam Discovery? I checked the North Face website and think I might be able to use some of their items. Where is Siam Discovery?
