If you know what you want, and it sounds like you do, give http://www.bizrate.com a try. It will query lots of vendors and you can sort by price. This may be a better deal for those who live in the US when you take shipping into account, but it's worth a look. The cheapest place for memory was http://www.mwave.com. I got a 1 GB compact flash card for $200, including shipping. I agree with the above that Panthip is not that cheap for electronics. Good luck.

LOS is very strange with it's prices, in Lamai I looked at some original Ray Bans and they were even more expensive than rip off Britain.
I thought it may be a good idea to buy just the Pentax in UK then cards, batteries etc in LOS, looks like a visit to HKG can save some money. I bought a Canon SLR from HKG a few years ago, although it was from TST the deal was still OK, although the instruction booklet is photocopied!

when I got to the uk I emailed sony and the responce I recieved was they would honour the guarentee

Many manufacturers provide worldwide guarantee. Look at the guarantee card and the leaflets so get addresses in different countries where you can have your gadget repaired under guarantee.

I will not tell you who I was the European sales manager for but it might have been one of those electornic companies spoken about before or another bigger in its field, so I would really really like to say again, The gaurantee is not valid no way it is not, if you get the right person when you send your card off or the nice person on the phone for customer service then yes than can change there mind, but its a NO as per polices around the world for electronic manifactors for the home. I am not going to go into big long reasons why but they make sence in some ways. I am telling you this to help you, if you want to take the gamble then please do.

You have to know how to spell to use a spell checker you ignorant twat. Or you put a word in that is wrong word not a word that is not spelt wrong. Also sadow hair splitters with nothing else to do with there lives besides look on forums to pck uot spelling mistakes because they are that bored say mmmm you must not understand spell checkers as you use a US spell checker mmm mmmm mmm on and on this will never end.
