Aaahh...Thai moonshine  There's a man with a cart in Patpong around 4am-ish who sells lovely stuff. Different varieties flavoured with herbs (or something).
Actually, I wasn't thinking of the herbal stuff that they have in a row of jars with a side of salty tamarind. I notice that they sell that stuff in the alley connecting soi 7 and soi 5, sukhumvit.
To me, moonshine is just a clear, foul-tasting distillate for cheap cheap, that brews quick and drinks hard. Reminds me of some stuff I got from a friend in Arkansas. It should smell awful, and taste the same. The herbal stuff was actually pretty good, when I had it down at Ancient City. Nothing like drinking a "love potion" in front of an impressionable chinese thai girl.
The 7/11 stuff I was talking about fit the bill. Can find it at the 7/11 on soi 3.

They sell it in Tescos too. I think they put the 'flavourings' in it to make it more palatable...

Do they sell wild turkey in gogo bars or just regular ones like jim beam and jack daniels. Wild Turkey is my favorite drink next is bicardi. Seems like some of gogo bar websites only mention the jim beam and jack daniels.
Is it worthwhile to buy a bottle at one of these gogo bars or better to buy individual drinks all night. Which way is cheaper if you plan to drink lots. Thanks.

Most GoGo's are not selling by the bottle, at least they do not advertise it. I have done it in the past, but only at places where they knew me very well...

There are some places that carry it, some that don't.
The interesting thing I found was that, at least in Chiang Mai, the Wild Turkey was 80 proof. Yes, 80 proof. I checked the bottle twice to make sure I wasn't going blind.
(for the uninitiated, Wild Turkey Bourbon comes in 101 proof in the states, or 103.5 for Wild Turkey Private Reserve).
