Browsed through Siam Square today noticed the Von Dutch shop owned by an american dude who bought a franchise/ license from its distributor, open a little store selling to those Justin Timberlake & Britney spears wannabees. Apparantly that Von Dutch clothings do good in the US and Europe. but....
Price average were like THB2,000-4,000 for one freakin trucker hat with logo, THB 5-6,000 for mini skirts, 1,000-3000 for a simple ribbed tank top/ Tshirt with screened on logo. Not to mention of Von Dutch jeans sold for 9000-10,000 a pair???!!!
Noticed the girls face who shop there, could not leave fast enough after a flash of the tags. I don't think kids hanging out/ shop around that area could afford it?The shop is not even in upscale shopping malls.
Pressing his luck, wonder if it will survive?

I think he has a fighting chance, if he discounts some items down to match the 150baht on the street, he should be able to survive. I wonder how much he paid for the franchise, hope he didn't buy it through a certain duo for the really big bucks. Maybe he just got the franchise certificate from Kaoh San Rd.

I've always been into high end fashion and could never understand how a t-shirt and a trucker hat could be in style let alone command a premium. I don't care who's name is on it, it's still a t-shirt and a cheap hat.
But I gotta love the Van Biatch shirts.
