Havent been to BKK in ~8 months -from what I read the Drink prices have gone up considerably - what about the Barfines ST/LT rates?
The Baht seems to be thrashing most currencies - wonder if there is any impact to tourism/entertainment.
Last I recall - a singha was 55 baht - JWB 110 baht and a Lady Drink 115 - is that still the case at GoGo's ?
Are BF still 500, ST 1500 LT 2000 ?

EPC: The bleeding hearts would attempt to lead one to believe the way to stop the suicide bombers is thru appeasement. Make them feel like they matter as people and they will be less likely to strap some explosives. you hit the nail on the head in this comment, let's make clear to any wannabe suicide bombers, that if identified then their families will pay ultimate retribution for their actions. Let them know that their remnants will be fed to pigs. These f***ers take comfort with the fact that once they blow themselves (and kill/maim scores of people), none can touch them. Hell not, let them know that they'll be pursed in the after life, families and relatives will be held accountable. There was a case of London's suicide bomber in the July 2005 terrorist attacks; he blew himself taking innocent people with him and injuring several others. His wife was heavily pregnant at the time, weeks later she gave birth in a London hospital. She was nursed, fed and taken care of by the very same people her husband wanted to destroy. We live in extraordinary times, in the past she and the rest of the family would have been dealt in a totally different way. In another case, a failed suicide bomber in London's attacks (the idiot couldn't trig the explosion) was milking the British welfare system at the tune of several thousand pounds per year: Bomber on Welfare. So there we have it, f***ed up muslims, taking their worthless lives in the knowledge that they not only won't have to pay for their actions but their family will be unaffected or in some cases benefit from it all. Still wonder why so many muslims enjoy this sport?
Ah for the record, Hugo Chavez is a total moron, well beyond past the joke.

I had no idea there where still people living in NZ,,, I thought they all mooved to Bondi beach.
By the way the NZ Dollar is one of the few currencies that has actually gone UP against the BAHT over the last year.
Not sure where you found the $1.15,, most places showing around the $1.12. Most Australians are more comfortable around the $1.20 mark for NZ ski-ing holidays.
