I know, I know... why come to Thailand to eat Korean food. I actually prefer Thai cuisine most days while in the LOS but I would really enjoy a couple nice Korean meals while I'm there.

Does anyone know a good Korean restaurant in BKK? Preferably on or near Sukhumvit Rd.

I think I remember reading somewhere that Sukhumvit has a little Korean food section but can't find where I saw this - is this true and if so where is this located?

Thanks in advance!

There is a Korean BBQ restaraunt in the 2nd floor of the mall across the street from Robinson/Westin Grande Sukhumvit, near Asoke BTS station. I was wandering around one day and found the place. It was a shame that I had just eaten or I would have tried it. The place looked good from walking by, and I love Korean food.

There is a decent Korean restaurant on Soi 11, near the Swiss Park Hotel. Good kimchi chigae, bulgogi, tagigogi, chopchae bop, etc.

Go to Sukhumvit & Soi 12 (near Darling). There is a 4-story building that has great Korean restaurants. Very authentic, I'm usually the only non-korean in the place. Yakiniku (cook your own) the most popular, but other dishes are available.

Sanuk Man is correct. A Korean native vacation buddy of mine and I went there and enjoyed our meals. It's like a little Korea Town (or building at least) there.

There was a threat about a massage parlor in that building. I think the general feeling about that place is to skip it though.

check out th korean restaurant in patumwan princess hotel right next to mbk. the grill your own stuff is awesome and portion quite generous. the grills have fans that suck smoke down, so you don't walk out of there reeking like bbq meat. well, not too much anyway.

was in this complex last week ( korean town ) suk soi 12.
ate at the very first restaurant on the right, 1st floor as you enter the complex ( forgot name )
enter the res. & was greeted by a korean lady, owner/manager ? in japanese, I explain to her that i'm not japanese, she is sorry, so I say " Mai Pen Rai " & all the young thai waitresses starts giggling, the korean lady didn't think it was so funny
the food was great actually, I knew it would be before the food was actually prepared. RULE of THUMB, if the many small side dishes they bring out before the main meal is tasty, everything that follows will be just as tasty. course, you will have to know which side dishes to taste & what that side dish should taste like....eventually more you dine at the korean res. you can pick up on these things.
the place was clean, reasonably priced, & above average in service.
there must have been at least 8+ korean res. which I could see.
the day I visited, there seems to be more japanese tourist customers ( young j-girls ) than koreans.
will return....
