I agree on that, their burgers were no good. However the Gumbo served by Woodstock is the best that I have found in Asia. (Even better than the 'Bubba Gump's' and The 'Creole Kid's' restautrants in Makati)

Another candidate for a good burger would be Tony Romas on Suk between soi 3 & 5. I know the place is meant to be for ribs but I got a taste of the burger and was very impressed.

I agree with Thaid Up about Gullivers. Mediocre food at best.
I never had a burger in 90 seconds flat at Woodstock, or anywhere near that quick. I enjoyed the burgers there and at its predecessor, the White Rabbit, over the years, and if that makes me a moron, so be it. Mind you, that kind of criticism kind of loses its credibility when the poster goes on to recommend Piri Piri's lousy bacon cheeseburger.
That burger cart at the entrance to NEP is good for one reason only: it does the job. If it's 9pm and you need something to line your stomach and a short break from the booze, grab a burger. If you forgot to eat and it's now past 1am, that burger cart has what you need. Under the circumstances, who cares if the meat is seasoned just right or not?

Finally tried a burger at Big Mango: not bad, though still redolent of the "peppered beef patty" approach to gussied-up (i.e. disguising) flavoring to protect against any potential off-ness in the beef's actual, natural flavor -- not that I'm saying anything was actually off about it; by local standards it was fine, and the manager was extremely friendly and welcoming. (The girls however were, well, standard bar beer girls.) Finally though, whoever attempted a comparison between the BM burger and a Fatburger is completely off their nut; the BM is as far from a Fat as LOS is from La Cienega.
And as for the "lousy" Piri Piri burger -- criticize my criticism all you like, but calling something "lousy" without a word of substantiation ain't exactly a boost to your credibility either.

Now there are 2 burger carts at NEP. The new one IMHO is a lot better than the old one.
Juicier, and they fry onions for your burger if you ask them. Sorry SB1234, by the time you get back here, I will have eaten maybe 3548 of them, so you will have a bit of catching up to do, lol.
