... as for BBQ ribs, the best I found were on Soi 36 at the Great American Rib... properly smoked in a smoker imported from Texas... since the guy who really founded the place moved on and opened his own place, the service has slipped somewhat... suggest you eat early, as the kitchen has gotten lazy and cooks the eveninh offer all at once, so the ribs tend to be dried out by mid-evening... and, as always, order the sauce on the side... still good, but hit or miss on whether they get over-cooked.

... the guy who opened Great American Rib and really knows what he was doing opened a Mexican joint on Soi 14 where he still offers great BBQ ribs... Los Cabos.

I read all the earlier posts. There seem to be a lot of conflicting opinions. Los Cabos has a few bad reviews. Which one is better, do you think?

... I am a Tex-Mex guy, and only eat the "lesser" varieties out of necessity... don't let that put you off... I go to Los Cabos for the BBQ ribs, for reasons stated in the F&B thread... he knows how to BBQ Texas-style ribs.

... for high-end USDA steaks, my money goes to New York Steakhouse.

... your taste might lure you elsewhere... Miyazaki steaks, Aussie steaks, etc.
