You guys are amazing. How do the hell you find these places. This place is so close, that I walked to it, yet so well hidden I would have never have found it, hadn't been for this board.
Now it makes me wonder how long it will be in business, given the obscur location.
Will actually try it this week.

I'm a little bit with 3cazzi (btw, what a name!) on this one - I seldom eat at Italian restaurants outside Italy and when I do it is because I know the chef or the place has been recommended by trusted friends.
I got to know Rossini's chef at Sheraton Hotel on Sukhmvit Rd, the place looks classy and the menu reasonably modern Italian (by Thai standards anyway). Even though the guy sounds & acts like a dickhead he seems to know his stuff so you guys should be in for a good foodie experience.
However, he confirmed that (as most Italian restaurateurs worldwide) he struggles to get hold of genuine Italian groceries at reasonable price (he's got a budget and a strict food cost to adhere to), thus needing to be a on a creative side when substituting genuine articles. Mozzarella produced in Thailand, vegetables imported from Holland (of all places!) and so on - thanks God that he hasn't replaced Italian basil with the Thai variety.................yet!

I tried Napoli yesterday and it was really good. They are open for lunches during the weekends only. I had the pizza and my GF had the pasta.... both were great.
Giusto on Soi 23 is always busy and the carpark is always full with flash cars. I have heard that the wife of the deputy PM (which one I dont know) is the owner... true or not?
Enzos in Chaeng Watana is realyl good but expensive and really out of the way. We had a group of 30 and the food was still top class.

next time walk 20 meters further down soi 31 and you will have even better Italian food at Toscana. Better pizza and pasta - try the flat pasta with wild boar... mama mia!

Can you give a rough comparison of the prices (for similar items) between Bella Napoli and Toscana? Just a few items, if it's not too much trouble, thanks.

I am not certain but I think the pizza range was around BT 150 - 250 and pastas about Bt 200 - 250.
I may have a chance to go back this week and will confirm.
Napoli still gets bigger crowds but Toscana, IMO, has better food. And now they have a hostess that has an unbelievable body!!! The helmut is only average, very dark skin, but I am not lying... the body has to be a 12 minimum!

OK, I was referring to the extremely curvaceous Thai girl that is now a hostess at Toscana. Her face is average.
Although now some members may not want to try Toscana as it is a female hostess! Does it help that she wears a Nazi uniform?
