Diversity is the spice of life brother Ady. Everyone needs a little change now and then. Brother Nokna's point hit the nail on the head. I mean here's a Thai lady who has eaten Thai food all her life and she wants to go to McDonalds for some "good food". I'm sorry, but there are just so many bags of fried silk worms I can eat before I feel the need to have a slab of cow flesh as a change of pace  . Peace

there are times when a burger is ok with me,but not in LOS.
i like and want local food.
that's what i like about LOS,great food wether it be a sit down meal of from a vendor.
i can't get it at home so i really go for it when i'm there.
but i do like to get the girls to try different food sometimes.
i will take them to restaurants which are foreign(to me as well),like italian,just to get them to try something different.
and the good old English fry-up i find is a good one.
but the thing i noticed in Thai McDonalds was that they sold pork burgers.
don't get those in England.

this thread seems to be USA versus the rest of the world, we are only talking about food but this seems like the real world situation too!
Still can not believe why some US brothers are so proud about their doubtable taste!
P.S. Esp. if it is waste of proper cheese recooked and melted, added with sweetener and other substances to make it soft enough. Than produced into a plastic foil and may be afterwards apllied to a burger with the name

just teasing! but again i would never stress my country of origin that much like some guys are doing this here.
may be I am not patriotic enough but i still feel we live in one world and should accept different cultures esp. when we are not in our home countries.
a thing i was lacking a lot in some threads on this board!
P.S. how would you feel when you are constantly dragged about french or italian wine, food, style and clothes or german beer, cars and machines or japanese etiquette or electronics on this board.
the only nation i constantly see glorifing herself are the usa, what for? Aren't we all the same? Aren't you taught in school that we are all the same? So why can some people not accept other cultures and their beauties?
