If the food is bad, just splash some chilli over it, you'd be too distracted to bother with the food.  There is a wide selection from the "Wall of Flame" upstairs. And there is one little f***er called "Da' Bomb", watch out for that one. Let your TGF try it out, if they boast that they can eat really spicy food. Just ask them to try it out with a toothpick first before applying it on the food. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I have found several Thais that cannot handle the Mexican food "heat".
My wife is from Isaan and eats Thai peppers like popcorn but she can't handle my jalapenos. I can't eat her hot food either, but I can handle Mexican. Go figure!!
I guess it is just a different sort of "hot" but we go to a Mexican food place in Riyadh all the time. She can't handle it.
BK gives good advice. If the food is no good, cover it with salsa and you will never know.
By the way, I never made it here last year. Maybe next trip.

checked out a new Mexican place on Phaholyotin Rd. near the Villa Market. called Sabrosa.
pretty good, just opened in the last few months. they have a wicked habernero chili sauce. habernero being hotter than thai bird chilis. excellent stuff.

I would like to add that Charlie Browns on soi 11 - for those not familiar with it, you have to enter a small sub-soi located to the left when you come from sukhumvit - is actually quite good! I go there frequently and they do a good job! Recommended!
