All the "Seafood" places tend to be pricy..

A couple of options for less expensive good food..

Suda is on soi 14 (virtually across the street from sukhumvit soi 19).. they have seafood and the prices are reasonable.. no a/c so that is a problem for some, but the food is good and I usually get out with dinner for two for under B500.

The Ambassador has an all you can eat seafood buffet.. it is B589++ for two.. not bad food, but the seafood part is pretty limited, but they have shrimp and mussles so that is enough for me.. also Sushi and Sashimi.. plus a pretty wide variety of this and that.. a/c so that is nice this time of year.. this is not that close to soi 19, but still an easy walk

Stay away from that big seafood joint on soi 24, it is huge and damn expensive, I was told that it makes an extraordianry amount of profit each night, rightly so with those prices. A lot of well of Thais go there, let them continue to support it and impress their friends, no problem there.

But there are much cheaper and better seafood places about. Many outside areas have seafood that can be very cheap for a big and great feed. The easiest for you to find might be in Pratunam, between Indra hotle and world trade centre, on the corner of that road and Petchaburi, there are 2 or 3 places, the food is good every time I have eaten there. it is also for the tourists of the area and priced a little accordingly, but easy to find, the other cheap places are in outlying areas and hard to find if you dont know exactly where.
One other really nice place is on the river, at the pier where What Poh is, nice little thai restaurant that does seafood dishes, but not pure seafood, as in you cannot get lobster or bbq prawns, but it is very tasty.
Also on the river and recommended are a couple of well lit seafood places, but I have forgotten the names just now.

NM, guess you mean the 'Yok Yur' restaurants opposite of the Riverside complex. Decent food for good prices here. Also 'Somboon' seafood at Surawong is OK. Food good, prices sometimes good, sometimes expensive. Baan klang Nam, Rama III, great! recomendations for Pratunam, spot on.. decent stuff.
Don't go to Soi 24, rip-off big style.....
Oaktood, I like Suda too, but mentioning it in a seafood threat is a bit of a long shot in my opinion.
So many other places.....

This restaurant has gotten many recommendations; I have not been there yet, and it is in Chinatown. I plan to go there soon and will try to remember to post a follow-up here.

Rut & Lek Seafood: the intersection of Yaowarat Road and Soi Texas in Chinatown. From the Ratchavongse pier on the Chao Phrya River, go north and make a right when you hit Yaowarat Road. Soi Texas is about two blocks down the road, and the "restaurant " (it's an expansive sidewalk affair) will be on your left. Highly recommended are the crab fried rice, crab curry, and shrimp with black pepper.

Try the Cabbages and Condoms (the name may put you off...) for some really good Thai food. Good prices, great atmosphere.

My girl told me that for really good Thai food she would choose either this one or one place at the corner of soi 7 I do not recall the name of. And this girl knows her food.

It's in the soi just after the TimeSquare building heading from Soi19 towards Nana. Soi 12

Well, they serve seafood... but not exclusive. Condoms as well.

And the quality of the food is great. It's not a sea food resturant, but the sea bass I had there is some of the best I tasted, ever.
