I think it's falafel.  However, that concludes my "help," as I'm no expert on restaurants in Thailand.

Update:  "falafel in Thailand" seemed to generate more than a few probable leads at google.  Hopefully a few expats can weigh-in with their own finds as well.

No specific suggestion, but if it exists, falafel will be found in and around Sukhumvit Soi 3, between Sukhumvit and the Grace Hotel, and a little past.  There are many Middle Eastern folks, and the food they like, around there, and through the alley to the east around Soi 5.

Walk tall when you're in that area...no one will bother you (unless you wear an Israeli flag t-shirt, or something )

I have had some of the best roti and shwarma there, and I'd bet you can find falafel - certainly, you can find fellatio, which sounds close...

try pita pan at bts phromphong just opposite emporium / queens park. prices are reasonable, but must caution that size of the falafel has reduced drastically since they first served when they opened about 6-8 months ago!

Have seen BANDIT striding thru Grace at 3am with one in each hand ! [ Falafels that is, Not TGs ! ] - so guess they must be OK, mind you, at that hour, anything goes down well - and yep, the Guy usually is stationed between Grace/Sukhumvit Rd. - and definately open late!

Falafel, I thought they were those little ball thingys and the things they sell around Soi 3 are Souvilakis, they are very tasty, especially the ones in the laneways behind soi3. But be careful, be very very careful, make sure you pick the ones that 'look' like meat at least. You will see the difference, meat lumpy and carves off the rack in pieces. The other stuff looks like compressed meat/s and could be spam or puppy dog and pussy cat mixtures as it is not real meat, even tastes like hmmm, shit actually.
But the real ones are very good.

falafels are vegetarian food-made from chick peas i think and bread crumbs-deep fried and shaped as a small ball-nice in a sandwich with hommus and tabouli.
Should be available in soi 3 most definitely.

The meat things are called Sawarmas or the Greeks call them Souvlaki.

Shwerma and felafel can be had in the food court at Emporium.
