On any given night you can find me making merit at the Angelwitch a-go-go Temple, the Baccara a-go-go Temple, CP2 Temple... so many temples to see, so much merit to make, so little time!

I also come to BK for the gourmet cuisines that you can find from the street vendors. I especially love Fried Grasshoppers, sautaed roaches, and baked spiders. Delicious.

Whenever I leave LOS at the end of a trip, I wish I wasn't. Never happens for me leaving any other country.

At the Norwegian Grand Travel Awards 2007 held in Oslo, Thailand was voted for by more than 300 travel companies. Greece, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Brazil, the US, France, the UK and Sweden followed in the top 10.

Cabbie returns tourist's money

A Bangkok taxi driver yesterday turned over US and Taiwanese currency worth around Bt140,000 left behind by a Taiwanese tourist.
The relieved passenger, Chen Ching Ning, gave the honest cabbie Rian Wiangsamut, 45, a Bt4,000 reward.
On Thursday evening around 8pm, Rian called the Sor Wor Por 91 radio station's 1644 hotline and reported he'd found a wallet possibly belonging to a foreigner he picked up earlier from the Twin Tower Hotel and drove to the Pom Prab Sattru Phai area.
Rian had gone back to the hotel but could not find the passenger, so he decided to call the radio station for help.
"I have been driving a taxi for more than 10 years and decided to return the money because it's not mine and the owner would be in trouble over the loss," he said.
Businessman Chen Ching Ning, who was in Thailand for the first time, said he was happy and relieved to get the money back and praised Thai people for being honest and kind. Chen thanked Rian and gave him a Bt4,000 reward.

and one more, last week on CNN, some sheikh (not the blessed person contributing to this forum) in charge of Dubais Tourism sector: " we will invest another 580 billion dollars into our tourism infrastructure until the year 2010 and hope to welcome 3 million visitors annually". Thats just 13 million visitors short of thailand, without any mega investments, but with currency controls, new visa rules, a shitty new airport, a hostile foreign investment law etc.. why? well lets start with the fact that women in this kingdome can show their face and more, good food and all the other reasosn we all carry being here. In case someone is not happy, can join being one of the 3 millions, until 2010, three more years to consider
