I was just thinking how valuable the info that I have gotten from this forum is. I remember sending emails, making all kinds of requests for info regarding an uncoming trip to BKK.... (my 1st trip). And I couldn't get the kind of info I wanted. Even got an email advising me not to go... as it was a terrible place, and I would most likely be killed or something.... then, I stumbled across this forum.... I really wish I had come across it prior to my 1st trip! Anyway, was wondering about the rest of "ya'll". When and How did you get to be members of this BKK2Nite group?

When and How?
October 2001 after a quick search entering the following keywords: "Bangkok nightlife" and using Yahoo search engine.
In year 2001 I got good info through STICKMAN and Dr. JOCKER but was not enough. Then stumbled to this forum and we started to develop a nice exchange of information with many many brothers and you have the product of a nice interaction among hundreds of members. BK's work is simply fantastic!!!!

i know i was visiting sites on Thailand and think in one of them there was a link to this Forum.
started to read the posts and thought WOW,THIS IS A f_ckING GOOD SITE.

I was looking for a map of Bangkok to see where my friend lived. I did a search on Google and found this site.
Now I log on as soon as I get in to work each day to check all the latest posts and to see what Pinga has been up to.
The information and knowledge I have gained made my trip to LOS last month very enjoyable.

How? I went to this link http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/register.cgi and I clicked on "I agree". I was then redirected to a page where I had to fill some information (e.g name, email, signature, etc.) and after clicking "submit" I received a password by email. Voila.
I think how we be became members is the same for all. There may be a lack of diversity in the answers in this department.

Much like Califdann, I bumbled around BKK on my first trip with prints from skin mags mostly passed up Sukhumvit altogether.
I think I found the site through an engine search, and the rest is history. Well actually, I lurked for about a year prior to gettin the nerve up to actually post. Now ya can't shut me up. Insert Big Clown Smile Here.

Ya know, I didn't put how I got on this Forum. I really don't remember. But I do know that I bumped into a forum member quite by accident on a trip up to the Bridge over the River Kwai. He was (and is) an Aussie, and happened to be sitting next to me on the bus either up or back (cant remember), anyway, he filled me in on the forum. Just as TWD, I just kinda looked (lurked) for a while. But unlike TWD, I believe in disgression, and hold with the adage that "better to be silent and thought a fool, than to open my mouth and prove I am".

Google search on Bangkok nightlife a few months ago. Been to many doing..um..research on my upcoming trip. This IS the best place to get info and swap stories and opinions on LOS that I've seen online.

was talking to one of the forum member who happend to live in los angeles and thats how I got hooked. First few visits were boring because I never read anything on the forum but during my spare time i start spending time on the forum and rest is history....
