I have to agree with oldhand here.
I'm only a newbie to this fine site and I must admit that the slanging matches between certain members are a bit of a pain to put up with. If you want to do that stuff can't you take it outside?
I must admit that I have been responsible for stuffing a few threads up by attempting to be funny but I can't help it - I always look on the bright side of life. (whistles)

I met many many many many people throughout these years but only a bunch out of them are considered my friends. It is difficult to believe but, apart of the p4p common interest the members have, there are persons with a private and personal life behind the AVATARS. I discovered that there is a real name behind those icons and in most cases excellent people eager to develop a real friendship. I love this. Finally, you could realise after reading my posts that its sad for me to see useful threads becoming hard to read cos of the non sense comments that eventually turned the thread itself into a mess. IMHO fun and sarcasm is good sometimes within the threads but the abuse of it is something I particularly dislike....but that's me.
In regards to the compulsory reading I think you refer to BK's request to help him collectying useful threads (URLs) that may address the common inquiries of the NEWBIES. BK said he will screen the info and delete the fluff from it. I think that's a good idea and I am working on it....

Brothers........I love this forum as do so many people here.....i do feel that sometimes we are a liitle hard and abrupt with newbies..........these guy join this forum with a common interest..........please advise that maybe they are posting on the wrong thread but do it with some nice words not insults

i think that you should developan "useful thread" link alongside the "on going forum" link on the homepage. pinga can help create all the useful topics under different categories, since he is one of the top posters.
