I agree with you. Newbies do deserve some consideration in case of mistakes. Very often even oldtimers are treated to insults just because someone does not agree with them. A lot of the topics discussed here are subjective and therefore opinions can differ. A healthy respect for other peoples' opinion, even though it may differ from one's own is a trait that some members lack. Only if we treated others with respect this would be amuch better place.

Kris i am all for debate but at times on here it gets to a point where it is very personal. A newbie must think it is a bunch of bad mannered people with the response to a newbie mistake Hey man we all have to learn

We are really lucky that this Forum has 2 guys like you .
I just read through all the posts on this thread - and ( unsuprisingly ? ) out of 4 pages of posts the only constructive ones were from the 2 of you . The rest of the posters were either sermonising or propounding their view points .
I wonder why there was so much objection when all you are trying to do is be helpful to Newbies ( and probably Oldbies also ) by having a Quick Check List .
Once again I must say that I am really glad I joined this Forum - and it is largely due to guys like you .

Glad this thread has some life. I remember back to my first few visits to BKK and how much I missed out. I got lucky since I was treated by my customer to many sessions at CP2. He was friends with the owner so I got some VIP treatment!! (was my first time and didn't know CP2 from any other place at that time) Also, I was lucky to have some friends take me to Goldfingers in Pat Pong which until this board was my only Gogo experience. I got lucky.
So when Newbie comes on that maybe has no connection in BKK, I always try to give my humble opinion. If several of us chime in with honest recommendations and the reasons why then the Newbie can sort through and make their own choices.
I always recommend that the Newbie look through the forum, but I do this with some reservation. The problem is that when someone looks through the forum trying to learn about where to go and what to do, they will get 90% bullshit being flung back and forth and then in the remaining info, conflicting views. (Mirage is the best... Mirage sucks) Poor newbies. For those of us on the board daily, we can follow along and know what's up. I think a Newbie might get lost..... unless they read everything carefully. If they do take the time to really read though, they can get a lot of good info.
Nothing can replace getting together with other guys and talking about it. As founding father of the Round Table idea.... that was the plan. If there is a monthly gathering of guys 'in the know' that Newbies could participate in, they could learn more in one night than months of reading or years of self exploration.
As for the info on the board. BK, I like the ideas of trying to summarize truely 'helpful' threads. The other idea is for members to refer Newbies to the ebook on the main page. For a newbie, it really does 'sum it up' and is a great starting guide.
Nuf for now.... 3 weeks and counting!!!!!
