Thanks to Bangkok Tonight for providing a potentially excellent and helpful forum, spoilt only by the majority of contributions being frivolous of puerile. I would be pleased to hear whether other readers, who use the forum for information or interest, get pissed off as well.

I agree with you, but unfortunately its the way a chat room style forum will end up. One of the biggest examples of this is when a newbie asks a question without checking anywhere first. I can appreciate that for the longtimers on this board it MUST be frustrating being asked the same questions over and over and over again, and sure newbies need to be pointed swiftly in the correct direction, but some of the posters on the board seem to feel its only THEIR board and are rather too aggressive in there responses.
At the end of the day the board benefits us all. We ALL need newbies on here and the more the better. A simple "try this thread or link" is better than @#%$ @#%$# @^$8 @#^$ Ý@^# newby!!!
I welcome newbies with open arms, we were all newbies once, but i'm sure when we were newbies we read things like 'NEWBIE SECTION' and 'FAQ' first!

Well, of course. If someone asks me everyday for a week on sukhumvit rd: where is club eden, i dont think i will have a problem pointing it out to them. Or if I am irritated I might just say 'dont know', but I sure as hell wouldnt say, f_ck off and buy a map. Which is pretty much the kind of response newbies get here sometimes. Plus the usual crap by the so -called headmasters and keepers of the moral torch. Well, just ignore these tossers and ask away. Eventually someone will help.

Sometimes members can be a bit hard on newbies. ÝBut I must say.
I have yet to post a new question, not that I have not had question. ÝI have. ÝJust everytime I do a search first and end up finding the answer in a past thread.
I guess one of these days I will come up with a question I can't find an answer to and get to post a new question. ÝMaybe I am just not very creative with new question?

I mean for f_cks sake, I even use the damn search engine sometimes. It is a courtesey to the other members to do so. Posting mindlessly about things that have been discussed a million times before is pointless.
Plus, you might get some better information from the older threads from some members that are no longer with us.
I took my "spankings" when I joined. It's a damn tradition, DEAL WITH IT! Or are you newbies too sensitive?
