well...last year we had a good discussion during the "Bowl Season" and I wanted to get it going here..
Last year it was under "Monday Night Football" on "Members Only" and I figured that even though it has nothing to do with Thailand might be a good topic....
My apologies to the bro's that find zero interest in the sport...but just go onto another topic..
Just to preface, College football is a sport in the states like no other.....the connection goes beyond most pro sports......and I am sure we can have some nice dialogue..
USC...looked like a pro team against Ohio State....it was as if they played against against a high school team (sorry IBF..)
Oklahoma....will move into the #2 spot tomorrow after UGA just got by South Carolina....
UGA (my team) was pre-season #1 but seems to play to the level of their competition and doesnt deserve that #1 ranking at this point....but no debate about it, we do have the most difficult schedule...
Arizona State, Florida, LSU and Auburn in a row....if UGA can get out with 3 of 4 they will be back to #2...assuming USC keeps dominating like they look they will....
I think the national Champ this year will have 1 in the loss column....
but, Knowshon Merano is (hopefully) the next coming of Hershel Walker in Dawgs fans minds..let's see if he is Hiesman material...
7 TD's in 3 games, at very limited play thus far 
*edit in* That cat (Chase Daniel) from Missouri can throw a football though!

now we are talking.... time to get to business...... forget the bcs bowl bs and playoff, toomuch written about that already... let's focus on the season. the big 10 is a tough one this year, no one comes out undefeated... in fact, I think 1 & 2 are both beaten teams this year....
And th epac 10, anyhting goes.... so I think by then end you will see usc and ok 1&2, early season prediciton, but a safe one.....

Nice post, atl. College football is without question the most passionate, tradition-filled, exciting sport in America.
USC has the great advantage of playing in the weak Pac 10. If they can avoid a meltdown like against Stanford last year, they will be playing in Miami in January. The Big 10 has been exposed as a very weak conference already this year with Ohio State being blown out by USC, and Michigan losing to Notre Dame.
Georgia lost the top spot because they played Georgia Southern, Central Michigan, and then had a lackluster outing against South Carolina. Atl - after ASU, Georgia has Alabama (no slouch this year), Tennessee, and Vanderbilt before playing LSU in Death Valley, then Florida. It would be amazing if they got out of that run with only one loss. One of the great inequities in college football is that the SEC is so tough, with 5 teams in the top 10, and other conferences are so weak.
My Cornhuskers ate up their non-BCS conference opponents, but it will be another story when they start conference play in the difficult Big 12.
I can't wait until Saturday.

Ohio State looked like crap against USC. But they looked like crap the week before against Ohio University.
That being said I still think they have a shot at running the table and still ending up in a BCS bowl. They only way they'll in up in the championship game is if the voters are left with no other choice.
Big 10 - stronger/deeper than they have been in a long time.
USC will run away with the PAC-10 and might just go undefeated - due to the schedule more than anything else.
BYU will be the dark horse in the BCS bowl match-ups.
South Florida is at least the second best team in Florida - if not the best.
Big 12 not as impressive as they have been in the past - with the exception of Missouri and maybe Oklahoma (still waiting for the wheel to fall off the sooners - at best I think they'll have two loses - one to either Texas or Kansas regular season, and then lose to Missouri in the Big 12 Champ game).
SEC is still the top of the heap - Florida, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Auburn....Half of the top 10 teams....

You must be talking about the USA. Right? Because in most of America (from Mexico all the way to Patagonia) another sport also named football prevails. To the north of the USA (Canada) I am not so sure... you could be right.

Look for Wisconsin in the Big 10. Just beat a ranked team on the road, should handle Michigan in the conference opener, then get Ohio State and Penn State at home. If they can survive the next month it's gravy.
