what do you do if BYU goes undefeated?
No way they should play for the big one. Here is where the scheduling issue comes in.... I say if you wan tto play in the big one, play ranked teams, and I don't mean 20-25.....
In the end, the top 10 will mos tlikely look the same as it does now, just not in the same order......

If BYU goes undefeated they'll play in a BCS game, but probably not the championship game. Hard to tell really until we get into the final weeks.
If there are not two other top tier teams will zero or only one loss than they might not really have any option but to give BYU a chance in the championship game. But all that won't become clear until the final weeks. This actually plays into the hands of Ohio State. An early loss makes it much easier to climb back to the top.
On the other hand if Ohio State plays like they have the past two weeks it'll be a mute point, because they'll likely have two or three more losses.

here we go again...... please let's not start to compare soccer, football, rugby...... bottom line is the people that are at the top of each of those sports are great atheletes. no comparison necessary. Different games, different skill sets needed.
Most Americans can relate to rugby because they all played tackle football with no pads when they were kids. Basically the same except for the endurance issue. add pads and you get in essence a bunch of dumb bastards that collide at full speed with each other. Really, the best and brightest don't end up in football. It is a game reserved for knuckle heads.

BYU will not play in BCS title game. Lets say they go undefeated. How many of those victories are against top 25 teams? Their victory against Washington was unimpresive. They won because the idiot QB celebrated.
A 1 loss SEC team, or 1 loss Big 12 Team will play there first. I would also say USC with 1 loss will play in the title game before BYU.

I would agree that BYU is a very very long shot, but I would not rule them out this early. If both BYU and Utah go undefeated until the final game of their seasons they will both probably both be ranked in the top ten, at least one of them would likely be ranked in the top 5.
Depending on the number of other zero loss teams, and who the single loss teams are there is still a chance the winner of that final game (BYU / Utah) could end up in the Championship game.
Another possible undefeated team that would play havoc with who plays who in the BCS games is East Carolina.

Has anybody ever heard of the Big 12 Conference? They have a few in the top 25 and might have an influence on the final results.
Oklahoma (2), Missouri (5), Texas (7), Texas Tech (11),
Kansas (19), along with Nebraska (3-0), Okla State (3-0), might have some input in all this.
