EPC.... You are welcome my man...and Oklahoma is looking strong..... I laughed at the "thank you for listening" ending but maybe a classic line from Rodney Dangerfield would have worked as well it is early boys, and some upsets are in the works for sure.... If some higher power were to ask me right now... "Georgia can end the (so-called) regular season and go into the SEC championship with 1 loss...do you take it now?" I would answer, "hell yes" but then whatever SEC teams end up in that title game in Atlanta, they may very well have to play a 0 or 1 loss team in the SEC championship for the 2nd time in the same season Say...LSU or Alabama goes undeafeated or has 1 loss and UGA, Florida or Auburn does the same then two of those teams will go at it again.... I cant think of another conference with that hanging over their head..... atl

BYU or Utah should not play in the title game. Does anyone remember Hawaii last year? (I know atl does - Undefeated Hawaii got their asses handed to them by Georgia). Even with less scholarships at the major schools, the best teams in the WAC and other lesser conferences are no match for the best in BCS conferences. A one loss SEC or Big 12 team would be a much better representative to play USC in Miami. Take care.

Woa!!! How about the Big 12 conference. They have the same thing. Last year Missouri and Oklahoma played each other twice becasue of that. This year, Texas could end up playing Missouri (or Kansas) twice for the same reason.

Quote: from S M E G M A on 12:04 am on Sep. 15, 2008 You must be talking about the USA. Right? Because in most of America (from Mexico all the way to Patagonia) another sport also named football prevails. To the north of the USA (Canada) I am not so sure... you could be right.
Professional football is actually very popular in Mexico (they are big Dallas Cowboy fans). There have been NFL games played there and the Cowboy games are always broadcast back to Mexico. Canada plays football (American style). They even have professional football in what they call the "Canadian Football League".

Canadians have some looney rules. Only 3 downs, so lots of passing (and punting), longer field, bigger end zones. They had a limit of 2 foreign players per team (don't know if it's still the case), so their quarterbacks and tailbacks were frequently from the US. I once attended a Toronto Argonauts game.

I believe that the CFL now limits their 42 man roster to no more than 21 foreign born players. You may have been thinking of Japanese baseball, which does have a limit of 2 foreign players.

USC didnt show up last night.....the game was exciting with that 5 foot 6 running back hiding behind huge offensive linemen and just churning away.. I doubt USC would be voted ahead of Oklahoma, LSU, UGA, Florida, if all have 1 loss at the end of the year....especially if that 1 loss is against another top ranked team.... That loss by USC last night opened up the party.... I dont want to jinx the Dawgs, but would say UGA beating 'Bama would catapult them back to #1 as Oklahoma has TCU (who is a good team) but it is simply based on the fact 'Bama is in the top 10... but, bottom line, the Trojans didnt show up last night.... Monday should be interesting here... atl
