Horntoad, thanks for chiming in......keep it up...I really missed football season when living in Thailand and am concerned what I will focus my non work/family life on when it is over...probably predicting next year 
EPC, make it a 500 baht bar tab in Pattaya...and the right to say "I told you so" over here on the main forum.....
and I should say that Texas is awesome and shouldnt be counted out...
I will not tell my fellow Dawgs that I placed a bet on the Gators 
Shit guys, Alabama just might pull it out in the SEC Championship...but I wouldnt bet against Tebow...
But when Texas or Texas Tech (or any other Big 12 team) faces that defence they wont run up 50 or even 30 points.....and EPC it is on like Donkey Kong LOL!

If OU, TT, and UT tie, the BCS standings will determine who plays in the championship game.
The Longhorns will root for OU. Texas will probably be in if the Sooners win I would think, but who knows.

This wondering and debating is what makes college football so exciting.....I do however welcome an 8 team playoff.....
you could get some underdogs getting lucky and really making things interesting....

I heard college presidents will sign for more years of the BCS, or they already have.
Please, college football...try a playoff at least one year. What excitement that would generate!
But you're right, atl - the debate is very exciting. You do know that Nebraska is the best 6-4 team in the country, right? Maybe next year for the Huskers.
I can't wait until Saturday.

you are correct....I dont why I was thinking OU and TT was this weekend...maybe with all the hype on sports talk radio I just assumed..
and also, as much as I frekin' loved seeing Ole' Miss beat Florida....they just called that one in and didnt show up..that wont happen in a bowl game...

Texas Tech is getting beat like a rented mule at the half by OU...if it stays that will leave 3 big 12 teams at 10 and 1...that division championship will be interesting to watch....jeez who the f*** plays in it?????
Texas got beat by TT, Texas beat OU, and OU will beat TT...I guess the BSC rankings will determine who plays Missouri....but I think any of the aforementioned 3 teams will win that game...
If it holds you better believe #1 is Alabama and #2 is Florida who will face off in 2 weeks in Atlanta for the SEC championship game....
EPC....it will be an SEC team playing a big 12 team in the BSC championship...and my bet is obviously in already that the SEC will win a 3rd straight championship......
I hope TT can come back in the 2nd half but at 42 to 7 at half seems unlikely....
I will chime again when the BCS bowls are in line....
God, college football is flawed but awesome to follow

It looks like Oklahoma is going to the BCS championship game now if they beat Oklahoma St and then Missouri in the Big 12 title game. Doesn't seem fair to Texas since they beat Oklahoma in a neutral setting and barely lost to TT at TT but Oklahoma will probably be ranked higher in the BCS standings if they win their next two games. I'm not sure who is going to win the Alabama/Florida game but Florida looks like they're peaking right now.
I agree with ATL that the SEC will probably win a third consecutive championship because the Big 12 doesn't have the defense.

The rankings are out and, as usual, the SEC publicity team has managed to get Florida right up there at #2 in the AP and USA Today polls. The BCS has Alabama at #1 with Texas and Oklahoma at #'s 2 and 3 respectively.
I simply don't understand how Florida can be considered #2. I'll give the SEC the Alabama thing since they are the only undefeated major team in the land but I disagree with the Florida choice. I will grant they have a great defense but that vaunted defense gave up 19 points to the CITADEL (4-8) last week. Florida's (#7 SOS) strength of schedule is behind Texas (#1 SOS) and marginally ahead of Oklahoma and they have won one fewer game than both.
Horntoad, I agree that defense wins games, but when you have an offense that can score 65 points (Okla vs TT) against the number 2 team and 45 points against the then number 1 team (Tex vs Okla), that tends to make defenses circumspect at best. I figure you are correct that Okla will probably go to the BCS championship game if they win out. You are right, it doesn't seem fair to Texas.
Anyway, we're getting down to the short hairs. There is, at least, little doubt who the top four teams are.
What would we all give for a playoff system??????
Edit in: I just had a brain fart. I rechecked and found Okla is ranked #2 in the USA Today poll, not Fla.

Much love to you my man...but watch and see...I hate Florida but as a southern boy still believe that the SEC is the best.....
I think it will be Florida VS Oklahoma or Texas in the BSC Title game....You are correct that only the AP has Florida at #2 at the moment....
with that said, I would recommend betting against me in sports...as I am usually wrong
EPC...we have a fun bet on the SEC V Big 12 and it will be awesome to watch unfold..
