Don't need a playoff system. If Big 12 had the same 3-way tie-breaker system as the SEC, then Texas would have been in the Big 12 Championship game instead of OU.
In cases of 3-way tie, the SEC uses the BCS rankings to throw out the lowest ranked team, and then the one team that won the head-to-head among the two remaining teams is the winner.

Women's field hockey is dominated by teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Women in that part of the country are so ugly that no one will notice a few more missing teeth.

I realize that the TV networks put up most of the money, but the local communitties do put up a lot of money (a lot to them) and for the local communities to break even, they need good attendence and perferably a lot of fans who will travel to the game. With the economy this year, most of the bowls are playing to half empty stadiums.

I loved it when Vince and Texas beat USC back in '05 for the national title but will these guys in LA ever shut up???
I know they have no pro team and USC is all the comotion in the 2nd biggest TV commercial bracket...but shit I got like 3 calls from old friends and co-workers after they beat Penn today saying they should be playing for the national title.....
who did they beat besides Ohio State? (sorry IBF)
I agree with CS here...if anyone has a gripe about not playing for the national title it's Texas....not USC....

From the stories I have heard, Nick Saban is about the biggest asshole on this planet and you know the Alabama players are not enjoying that ride back to Tuscaloosa

I am not surprised about Ole Miss beating Texas Tech. They beat FL also.
The Ole Miss QB, Jevan Snead, is very good. After Vince Young left Texas it was Snead and Colt McCoy who battled for the starting QB slot as freshmen, and McCoy won out, and Snead realized he would probably sit behind McCoy for 4 years so he transferred to Ole Miss. But there is no shame in finishing second to McCoy, and Snead is very, very good.
Texas Tech seems to have some magic when they play in Lubbock (Beat Texas and OU there in last 2 years) but not so good on the road.

I heard the announcers during the game saying that about Snead...apparently he was also on Florida's radar but he decided not to go as Tebow looked to have the starting position.....
What a time to come out of High School......you are being courted by 2 incredible schools but at the same time some other dude is as well.....maybe he had an extra chip on his shoulder in that win against Florida.....
Oh well, Oxford is a not a bad town to go to college in

I think he was offered a scholarship at FL, but as you said he changed his mind after they signed Tebow. After his career is over, he should probably become a recruiter or pro scout, since he is pretty good at very quickly evaluating players (in the case of Tebow and McCoy, it was his competition).

That Texas v Ohio St game was the best of the bowl series by far!!!!!
EPC and LS...I know you guys are on delay so I will not spoil it...but it was a 4th and "go for it" for one team and they got it and scored the TD with like 60 seconds left...
what a f***ing game.....man I love american football.....
No knock on you European guys...I played soccer as a kid and thru highschool but we cant really appreciate your "futball" on a pro level....I understand your passion though....
but ours has much more of a tendancy to come down to the wire...and that is so exciting....
come to think of it, how do you guys bet on Futball?
EPC and IBF.....I know you will check your computers to see the score but that was a damn football game to watch in entirity 
man....I cant wait for FL V OU.....I might premature jizz in the wait

They really need to move the Heisman Trophy voting to after the bowl games. Vince would have won it a few years ago, and maybe Colt McCoy would have won it this year (pending outcome and performances at BCS championship game).

Agreed the Heisman should be given out after the bowl games.....as performance in the big game should be taken into account..
Not that there isnt big games in the regular season...But for example, if Bradford were to "shit the bed" tonight and after the winning drive McCoy led Texas on with under 2 min left...the outcome of the Heisman might very well be different...
Oh shit, that reminds me I meant to tell you guys.....
at 8pm EST in America, which is about 2 hours from now, TBS airs "Weekend at Bernie's II" f***ing sweet, I thought there would be nothing to watch
