RTB,
Yes, it is time for a break. I'm looking to arrive on/about 21/22 April for a fun filled 2-3 week stay. If you haven't heard, I left the "Sand Box" last October and now reside in Cuba. Loving life here on the beach, chillin and working.

Jen is the manager, bartender and as far as I could see the only employee at "The Penguin" in the Queen's Park Soi 22 beer bar complex. Soon to be renamed as RTB mentioned. It is in the interior of the complex towards the back on Soi 3 (same soi as Moonshine Pub but farther back.
Dr. Love and I visited Jen yesterday (Friday) around 8pm. No girls at the bar (aside from Jen), but several punters were there and had brought their own. Small bar with 1 pool table. Limited assortment of drinks (Jen ran out of Singha that one punter was drinking).
Jen told me that almost all the customers are from Toxic, and that many times the bar is very quiet. Several couches and comfortable chairs to sit in.
Lots more to tell, but I will let RTB do that.
Congrats on making it out of the sandbox...

the redecoration is completed (almost).
Thinking about throwing a RT there this friday, barbossy aka barhandy will throw in a little BBQ.

I think a change in venue is good. It seems many guys are complaining about f***ing the same woman for a few months, but have no quams about going to the same old place for RT's.
The new place has these good points:
1. You do not have to beg the taxi driver to drive down to the end of a dead-end Soi.
2. Plenty of places to wander off to by foot next door.
3. Easy to get some food nearby or delivered.
4. Same smiling Barbossy and Bar Manager
5. Better scenery to watch going by the window.
I myself vote for a switch. Any others?
