I'm not a kind of guy used to open his problems to the public, but since I've a case that involves BTF and some of his members (me included), then I think that for this time I'll do an exeption....
To make short a long and painful story: I've been set up by a Thai Company and I'm now facing serious problems with the Goverment as well because of their actions.
All this situation dates back to the mid of June 2004. When I realized in which kind of trouble I was, I looked out for help and I got to know that a member of BTF is in the position to provide the needed assistance.
Eventually, I met this guy, gave him cash in advance and waited for 2 weeks to have the mess cleared up.
2 weeks later, period during which I get assured with different stories but no concrete evidence that things were been taken care, I discovered that nothing has been done......when confronted by the real version of the facts, the guy is lost and still he cannot provide any evidence to support his position.
At the end, 2 weeks of lies created an even bigger damage......
I trusted the guy, I came open to him, I gave him 20k baht for initial expenses (only later I'd discover that nobody asks money in advance to straight up this kind of situations), I've been calm even when he made impossible for me to contact him.....not only me, but also my wife was part of this.....
So, finally, when it was time to collect the money from me, he had no problem to show up anytime, anywhere....now that I'm asking him to return the money for having lied, he's taking more than 2 weeks time and still nothing.
I do have plenty of evidences to support my claims and this story is not open to a two way versions.....
Now comes my point....what should I do with this guy?
What you, members of BTF would do to have satisfaction of a fellow member that took advantage of a person in trouble???
I'm a nice guy but I won't this one go easely......I also know that other members had the same experience with the same guy.....still, as I'm a decent person, I'm not revealing names.....
So what does it take to a man to be respected?
I gave this guy plenty of time and even too much understanding.....I've been even too nice not to ashame him before other people....this guy works in the most prestigious business area of Bangkok, acts like he's running a Fortune 500 Company and yet he has problems in finding 20k baht to pay me back.....
Should I get a couple of high rank Man In Brown I know as friends to "invite him" to teach him to behave as a decent person?
Any suggestion?
PS I apologize for this posting but my nerves have been hit and my patiance ran out.....

Yup, you are right Alan but in Italy we use to write (and talk) with looooooong sentences.....so they teach since the Roman Republic......

Much more info is needed for any of us to make a judgement of your predicament.
In my opinion this should not be discussed on the forum as any advise might be very much distorted because lack of facts.
Personal relations might exist between many forum members. Business relations are not being promoted in any way. In my opinion the forum is a place for personal introduction. If one wishes to extend that to business relations that should be set aside of the forum.
I think you are not helping yourself with this publication. My advise is to remove it.....

Somehow Manuel I agree with you, but at the same time I'm sure BK and others who have quite a good idea of what I'm talking about, will understand my frustration in this matter....business? yes, it was also a business (for him) but firstly I contacted him as a friend since I knew him from BTF as I asked also to other member of the forum.....
Facts? Trust me, all the facts & EVIDENCES point to my version....

Without publicising those facts and the evidence it is impossible to ask for any suggestions. Nobody would like to end up in a same mess by making a judgement without knowing all the facts.
Keep the discussion between the people who know the facts; that is all the help I can give you..

I could provide all details but it's not my intention to do it as I'm asking only a suggestion from other members IF they WERE in my position as per details provided in the first post.
I'm not used to deal with this kind of situations and persons so that's why I'm looking for different comments....

Singlolo, I'm focused now on clearing the problem with the Gov...later on I'll let my lawyer to deal with this Thai Company....but that's another part of the story.....what I want, apart form clearing all my troubles, is to have satisfaction, if not financial at least moral, with this guy...
