A word of advice if you go to Bumrungrad....
When you finish your business at Bumrungrad and go pay your bill, they usually only give you the OPD Receipt. It is a summary bill and I usually just scan it over, make sure there are no glaring errors and pay the bill.
The last two times I was there I asked about details on the medicine line items and requested an explanation. With little fanfare the printed out the OPD Charges sheet that has the line item details. I found that some of the line items were not part of my visit.
On the first visit I was overcharged 500 baht and this last time almost 1400 baht.
So if/when you pay, ask for the ODP Charges detail sheet as well as the summary ODP Receipt and look it over. You never know what you will be paying......

Again:
OPD Receipt - this is the standard summary bill they alway provide
OPD Charges - this is the line item detail sheet that you have to request that explains the medicine and/or medical supplies fees

Overcharge? Yep. Be sure if you a getting a series of tests done that there is no 'overlap' testing.
This means that, say you are getting a test that requires a particular test of a portion of your blood sample, and then later in the day you go to another department that also needs the same test information, so they duplicate the test, even though the test info is already at hand in a different department.
Same test same result but for 2 departments means extra charges on your bill.
Check your receipt for departmental double charges. Happened to me, twice. Refunded.

Yes I go to that hospital more then once and I offen seen people having problem with the bill. I always go to 1 doctor so its no problem but I guess if you have a long stay you better watch the bill.

Both of my overcharges related to visits to a single doctor. The errors related to the medical supplies/medicine not test unlike FMs experience.
Bottom line - get the detail sheet whatever you do there and look it over.

I get one bill and and there is FEE for the hostpital and there is also the doctors FEE thats it. Is there anything else I should check you mean? I also get a paper from the doctor that says what she did.

There is no hospital fee. The doctor's fee goes straight to the doctor, and the fee is decided by the doctor. That would explain why one doctor charges 300 baht for half and hour and another chargs 1,000 baht for 5 minutes.
Essentially Bamrungraj provides serviced offices for indipentant practicing doctors. The doctors are the hospital's customers, not their employees. Bamrungraj only makes money from services such as x-rays, pharmacy, ultrasound etc...
