For the past 4 trips to Bkk (every six months) I've visited 11 Dental Clinic on Soi 11. Dr. Woralak (only works Saturdays) is very professional and quite cute too with excellent English. Price for a clean last time was SR800 and a coupla months ago Woralak put in 4 fillings and charged me for 3, bargain!

went to a normal teeth place out in khlong thoey way
last month have not been near a dentists in years.
Had two pulled 5 filled and everything cleaned, the wife had 1 pulled and 4 filled and cleaned it was around
2k. This was open at night till 8.00 or so,there are government ones that close at 5.00 that are even cheaper anyone need the address let me know.
For these prices you won;t catch me at the dentist in the west in a hurry

A really good dentist is the Dental Hospital on Sukhumvit 49 opposite Villa.
My wife is very sensitive to botched dentistry but happily visits dentists there five or six times a year. (yes, I know this is a lot but she seems to like it)
The ones I have talked to there (and it is a big place) have been American trained by and large.
My wife's typical bill has a prophlaxis - adult - with topical fluoride application running at between 1350 and 1500 Baht.
No idea what this is as I am not a dentist but it sounds cheap whatever it is. This would not even get you in the door of a Western dentist.
However it is quality the whole way and the facilities look impressive though impressions can be deceptive. My wife says no pain if that is any help.

Doh! Did register and still this "Are you registered" thing pops up. Oh well, so this poor attempt of a post might go down the cyber drain. So be it.
If allowed I was just trying to say thanks to those who kept this thread alive. Was just going to have my teeth done at home at an expense 3 times the one quoted at Thantakit.
So, hmm, if all goes well this will save me enough to stay a looooooooong time at Edens or a couple of nights at The Oriental or cruise streets of choice for hours in an RR..
Mailed Thantakit and asked for an appointment. Preferably upon arrival to BKK. The 13th of August. I know this a date when you would rather stay dormant.
At least not exposing your teeth to laser rays. Then again, who cares about a date?

Paid several visits to the dental dept. at Bumrungrad.
Would not go there again however. Once the work started I had to finish the series of visits needed to complete the work, but was not happy with the result.
But it's all personal. I am sure others feel B.H. dental is great.

Well FM, not many people go to that dentist wanting dentures for their arse.
I understand that you have "Zackly" disease, but these dentists don't have that kind of experience in dealing with such requirements.
"Zackly" disease is when your face looks Zackly like your arse. 5555!

It seem like every once in awhile someone is asking about dentist so I thought I'd post a price list I picked up in april 2004. I got the brochure at Bangkok smile. prices listed are as follows:
Oral exam free
Amalgam filling starts at 400-500 baht
Tooth color filling starst at 500-600 baht
desensitizing 200 baht
scaling & polishing 600 baht
Gun surgery 2000- 4500 baht
Root canal treatment incisor 3500 baht
root canal treatment premolar 5500 baht
root canal treatment molar 7500 baht
extraction 600 baht
inpoaction toth starts at 2000 baht
temporary plate starts at 1500 baht
metal framework 7500 - 13000 baht
single crown 7000- 14000 baht
all ceramic crown 10000 baht
composite crown 7000 baht
post & core starts at 2500 baht
repair prosthesis starts at 500 baht
Complete implant planning 1000 baht
single implant 60000 baht
That should give you a good idea of what prices are like. When I checked other dentists the prices were similiar. Pattaya was a little bit lower in cost. BTW these are farang prices. My TG gets her dentistry for less. But what else would you expect?
