How easy is it to for an expat to buy medical insurance in Thailand, how many insurance companies offer this, are the insurance companies which sell it to expats Thai or foreign owned or do both types sell it, and how much might the premium be (I know it will vary according to age and health but generally what might be a typical kind of price for a middle aged guy in good health) ?

Been here 18 years. BUPA blue cross has never caused any grief. A friend had a motorcycle accident. The first three days in the hospital came to 300,000 baht. He was in the hospital 105 days. Granted, the cost went down over the period of his stay in hospital, but, do the math. How much insurance is enough?
