Brothers, we've got to talk condoms here. All manner of condoms. This thread will be for those unsure what 'fit' will work, what doesn't, whether the textured models are better, lubes used and loved, and stuff like that.
I have a confession to make to the board. I've been a serial monogamist most of my life and only recently decided to pursue 'the hobby'. Put another way, in my nine days in LOS I used more condoms than I had in the 40 years leading up to LOS. ŬI swear, it's true.
(great connotations. yea?)
Without trying to boast and being thicker than average I knew I wasn't cut out for the one size fits all raincoat. I did a little research and decided maybe the Magnun XL would feel less constricting and work for the LOS tour. I went and bought a pack, did the dry run and was impressed with their roominess. Ok! Bought more, and I was done.
Wrong! Then I got to LOS and barely got off, in fact I got soft, mid-shag mind, you a LOT. It was frustrating, embarrasing and just a damn nuisance. ŬSome would say maybe you need Vit-V. ŬI think what I'd need is a little bit of feeling for crying out loud! As I see it, and as I didn't feel 'it' my mind couldn't make up for what my johnson wasn't feeling.
Now I'm back home and realize condoms come with sensitivity ratings. Too bad I didn't look into those too, before I left. Maybe my experience would have been different.
Now I'm wondering if I suffered alone or if others are bothered too. What I want to know is is it better to go thinner at all costs to save the 'feeling'? Am I gonna get used to rainwear? Do I need to look for another hobby? And, does this stike a chord with anyone else?

try Durex Avanti condoms. They are made out of non-latex synthetic and are about half the thickness of latex condoms, but about twice the cost. I find they transmit the heat and friction better, especially if you put a dab of lube on the inside to begin with. Will probably be big enough for you, too. I don't like the local "chokers" in LOS ... too small for my taste and not uniform in quality. I've also had good success with Lifestyles ultra thins -- strong and light (a latex condom). I hate condoms, have also been a serial monogomist, but use condoms religiously when doing the BG/ST/LT thing. BTW, have found the textured condoms annoying, but maybe that's just me.

I met a great gal at CM2 at the Oct. Roundtable and she said she'd just gotten back from a month down south. Her client, a repeat, had come into town taken her straight to Bumrungard Hospital where they both got HIV tested and checked out and then, after getting cleared went on holiday sans raincoat for an extended bareback shagfest. Ŭ
It sounds like a fine option to me. What do you think?

never use the condom provided by the girl. it will choke your chicken and it will be an unpleasurable event. try the durex - strawberry flavored ones which you can get at any 7/11 store in thailand. but mind you, that i have bought durex in hawaii, and those f_ckers were small. i know some are made in spain and others elsewere. still didn't figure out which fits best. trial and error. but the strawberry flavored durex is your best bet. if not, try saran wrap. hehehehe. dunno about the condomless posters views.

BTW, the Durex Avanti's I've used are made in London, or thereabouts (they aren't strawberry, though), and distributed in the U.S.A. Where were the ones made you found in Hawaii?

True there's a lagtime. I was reading up on that too. If they were tested using the PCR/DNA test it would be more sensitive to the immediate presence of HIV antibodies and be quite useful for those sooner occurances. Ŭ

Durex Avanti's I'll look into.
I bought and tried out the Trojan Supra microsheer polyurethane condoms the other day. Marketed as an alternative, especially for those with latex allergies, and said to pass on body heat too. I found them totally awkward, wrinkling up and folding over. Very strange. Maybe a good alternative for Supraporn if his roll of saran wrap runs dry though.
