How do prescription prices compare with those of the west when it comes to high blood pressure or colestarol medications? Do any of the insurance plans cover prescriptions at all? Thanks
If you are using an older medicine, it might be off patent.
If it is, there are usually authentic, generic drugs that might be cheaper.
I take one drug made by Pfizer (India) that is about 1/3 the price of the same drug made by Pfizer (USA). Suspect that the primary differences here is the lower markup by the pharmacies in Thailand and perhaps lower cost of pharmaceuticals from India but not sure.
If your Rx is a relatively new drug and still under patent, it will usually be as expensive as drugs in the West.
