xanaxand vico you need a scrip, as well as all hydrocodons, valume can be gotton w/o a script.... steroids can be gotten w/o a script... penegra can be gotten w/o a script...
bargirls can be gotten w/o a script, as well as antibitocs to fight stds lol!!

there are some drugs that do require that you have a perscription .. these can be obtained, but be wary about the Drs that might do this.
The pharmacy that I go to has been pretty good at supplying drugs that do the same thing, but are not as tightly controlled ..
It helps if you go to a pharmacy regularly so that they get to know you .. if you are not there often, then perhaps go with someone that is known at the pharmacy ..
Even if you are there for just a couple of weeks, you might try going in and getting something easy, like Penagra or Cipro .. chat up the druggist a bit .. then go back a few days later and buy something else, ask for some advice, etc...
then just before leaving for home go in and tell him "damn I ran out of my XXXX and need some.. do you have it??" and if he will sell, just buy a llttle.. then in future trips you should be set ??
Problem for the druggist is that if they get caught then big trouble (fines mostly) ..

First time to BKK coming up in two weeks--sounds like Cipro can be had w/o a prescription...do you know how much it costs? Ý14 of those little buggers costs $80 in USA, if it's a hell of a lot cheaper in BKK probably best to just wait and buy it there in the event the stomach starts rumbling.

I won't belabor this point, but be VERY careful about self-medicating, particularly with antibiotics.
While Cipro is a very effective drug, few people, including MDs, who hand it out like candy, realize that it can have SERIOUS side effects. ÝAfter a month on it, I was walking along on a very slight grade, when POP! It felt like someone had busted a cap in my left calf. ÝTurns out it was a spontaneous tendon rupture, almost certainly caused by Cipro's antagonism for connective tissue. ÝSix weeks in a non-walking cast gave me plenty of time to conduct some research into the problem.
Just use any decent search engine with 'Cipro' and 'tendon' as keywords.
Just a word to the not-yet-wise.

You're absolutely right, and for the most part I deplore antibiotics and their misuse, and haven't taken them for years. I've heard of the problems with Cipro and from what I understand, as long as you're not taking it for more than 10 days, one is generally okay. My doc says three doses of cipro with immodium should be more than enough to take care of the traveler's bug. Of course one should only take the Cipro if they start feeling bad rather than as a preventative measure.
Everytime I go out of the country I seem to come down with this, tho, so I'd really like to avoid it this time around. And at $80 for a small bottle, that's worth a few BGs!

Cipro is cheap in Thailand . I buy it and keep it around..
I cannot imagine why anyone would take it for a month???
Take the standard dose of two a day for 5-6 days (can't remember which) and only use if sick ..
I keep it on hand for food poisoning as I lost a few days one trip due to a bad case of it..

Among other things, Cipro is a preferred drug for prostatitis, since it is broad-spectrum, and capable of entering the prostate, unlike many of the other oral antibiotics. ÝChronic prostatitis is a nasty condition, and often takes a long time to treat.
As for its relative safety, even for short courses, it is increasingly suspect; at least one NIH guy is calling for it to be used ONLY for confirmed anthrax exposure!
I certainly agree that the longer you take it, the more likely the appearance of side effects, but the fact is that the side effects generally go unreported as such, due to the difficulty of correlating the use of Cipro with the usually delayed onset of tendonitis.
Anyway, it is just a heads-up. ÝUsed when needed, it is a really powerful drug, but not one to be taken lightly.
