What do Blackberry phones have to do with Jobs' death? Oh, I just figured the answer. It all makes sense. Now that I know that his finals words were "Oh wow oh wow oh wow" I can pretty much guess what happened.

Your point? Jobs served on Bush's sport council, a presidential appointment, and hence the FBI file. Gee, what's in that file that's so damning that you can't print it? Let me guess - nothing. That's why all you have is innuendo. http://www.macnn.com/articles/12/02/10/also.had.top.secret.clearance.in.pixar.era/ Jobs did serve on Bush export council, government confirms Also had top secret clearance in Pixar era The US Commerce Department has confirmed that Steve Jobs did in fact serve on the President's Export Council during the George Bush Sr. administration, according to the Associated Press. This week the FBI published a 191-page file on Jobs from 1991, dealing mainly with a background investigation for an appointment to the Council. The AP remarks that Export Council members are unpaid, and meet a minimum of twice a year. FINS observes that another piece of information in the FBI file is that Jobs once had Top Secret clearance from the Department of Defense. The clearance was related to work at Pixar, and lasted from November 1988 until July 1990. Pixar would eventually be sold to Disney in 2006, with Jobs becoming the latter company's most powerful individual shareholder. Much of the attention surrounding Jobs' FBI file has been focused on the people interviewed for the background check, some of whom had harsh words about the Apple co-founder. "Several individuals questioned Mr. Jobs' honesty stating that Mr. Jobs will twist the truth and distort reality in order to achieve his goals," one part of the file reads. Other sections recount allegations of Jobs having "questionable" morals and ethics.

AAPL closes above $500, sets new all-time record high Having broken the $500 barrier earlier in the day, shares of AAPL closed today at a new all-time record high of $502.60. The milestone puts Apple even further ahead of ExxonMobile as the world's most valued publicly-traded company with a new market capitalization of $468.61 billion while still maintaining a low price-to-earnings ratio (P/E) of 14.30. And this changes the fact that Steve Jobs was an asshole? In real dollars Vanderbilt and his Pullman company was far wealthier than APPL... but history still vilifies him. As the uncle of an Aussie GF used to say, 'touch your kick, there are no pockets in a shroud.' It is not the $$$ you have that is you legacy after you die, it is the people you touched (and I do not mean the millions of idiots who own an iPhone... some day the iPhone will be gone and SJ will be long forgotten)...

True read this excerpt Mastery of the economics of the supply chain is, however, only one of the reasons Jobs and Apple favored China. The central reason continued to be cheap labor that is disciplined by the state. What emerges in the Times account about Apple’s practices is that, despite its protestations about being a socially responsible firm, Apple bargains hard, allowing its contractors “only the slimmest of profits.” Thus, “suppliers often try to cut corners, replace expensive chemicals with less costly alternatives, or push their employees to work faster and longer. “The only way you make money working for Apple is figuring out how to do things more efficiently or cheaper,” said an executive at one company that helped bring the iPad to market. “And then they’ll come back the next year, and force a 10 percent price cut.” Not surprisingly, a number of Apple suppliers have been plagued with accidents, including explosions, since, as one former Apple executive put it, “If you squeeze margins, you’re forcing them to cut safety.” The consequences of severe cost-cutting have not only been accidents but also protests by workers. Some of them took the tragic route of suicide, such as those that occurred in 2009 and 2010 at Foxconn, a notorious, gigantic corporate contractor, while others resorted to spontaneous labor actions that were put down forcefully by management and the state.
