No luck DB... Rangsit Cafe has folded - that 's about the only "development". Your best bet is probably the karaoke joints along the north end of Paholyotin, near the D'jit Pochana restaurant. If your Thai is passable you can arrange takeout.

I'll probably survive. Found a very local joint in the streets behind Future Park when I was there in May. Long Laem See Chan (Four Storey Hotel) as the taxi driver called it - a low-end brothel type of scene with over-the-hill dragons who drink too much beer and Lao Khao, but I was lucky to find a girl who wasn't too drunk with a real nice attitude. Stopped by 3 or 4 few times over two weeks and had a good time. 3-400 THB one pop 45 min. Intense BBB followed by rubber FJ. Good enough to put a smile on my otherwise gloomy face on the days I visited her. She seemed pleased to have a 'regular' customer... Not many farangs make it to the back roads surrounding Future Park apparently... Gotta watch out for the street dogs though. They're a real pain in the ass.

Good on ya, Borg. There are several places where you can score if you put some energy into it... but nothing like a "soapy" that I have been able to discover. I'll have to ask around about the SeeChan... see if I can ferret it out. Was it east of F/P... towards Klong Sahm??

Hi DF,
Let me see if I can put you in the right direction.
Imagine you're travelling in a Meter from Klong 3 heading for Future Park along Rangsit-Ongkarak Rd.
You go straight ahead passing Future Park by on you right side as you go under the overpass to make a 90 degree right turn (This road has 2 or 3 lanes).
You are now headed for a series of strange circular (spiral, even!) turns wich will eventually bring you to Future Park. But your destination is much closer than that. Once you make the aforementioned 90 degree turn, immediately keep left and be ready to make a left turn onto one of the small sois on you left side (I estimate the distance from the 90 degree turn to the soi you need to be less than 500 metres). I seem to remember its soi 7 or 9, a very narrow soi. Turn left down the soi from the main road. On my second visit I made the mistake of letting the Meter set me off at the mouth of the soi (in an efford to be discrete about it , thus having to fight my way past the dogs. Go down a few hundred metres, and the "hotel" will be on you right hand side.

Got it... I thought I knew that area pretty well, because I roam around back in there at the big wholesale market on photo expeditions.... will take my eye off the viewfinder and see if I can spot a 4 storey bldg....

No substantive changes... After Flight at the Amari Hotel remains the only venue that is relatively straightforward and accessible to non-Thai speakers. Pricing is still ~4K for the "all-in" 90 minute service; poor value for money, but workable. There is a clean TTM/OM establishment on Soi Muang Ake, but extra services are not part of the menu. There are a number of very good karaoke venues, but this approach is cumbersome... requires a reasonable command of Thai, plenty of time and an understanding of short time hotel logistics.

There are late-night freelancers near the main-road end of the lane between Rangsit railway station and the Pathum Thani road, and also round into the latter. Also a karaoke joint there.
The Boss hotel is at the end of the same lane after the station. Has regular hotel rooms for 600/700 and short-time curtained motel rooms on either side of the main building. Good, clean place with included breakfast until noon.
