This is in fact a chain... there are (I think) 5 locations, including the one mentioned in Pattaya. It is really not a place to go looking for massage... you can get that, but there are better options elsewhere. It's more of a low-end health club hangout. If you are not into the Asia-style sauna scene, then you should give this place a miss.

Update on the opening hours posted earlier... on weekdays the place does not really show any life until about 3pm. It is "open" but nominally.... mainly the help doing cleaning chores and heating the sauna. About 2:30 the "massage" girls start to drift in.

Went back to Suk 22 on my last trip. Got an average smiling chinese girl for a 2 hrs session. Correct massage then asked if I wanted ball massage (of course!). Airbus exhumes a six year old thread... well done. Looking through the early BTF topics, I am struck by the number of venues that have not survived.
I am a regular at Silom Sauna, and not much has changed since my posts dated 2003... some of the older providers are still there. Without exception, there are no lookers here... just solid/skilled lower end workers, many of whom have developed some very satisfactory kinky skill sets to supplement their Thai massage fundamentals.... Airbus encountered some, by the sounds of it.
There is a unique ambiance to this old "local" style venue... communal sauna, excellent cheap food can be ordered, and pricing for the services is rock bottom... I believe the "entry" fee (sauna, steam, shower, towels, fruit plate, etc) is b120... no time limit. This is a great place to repair your wounded frame after too much abuse.
How the place survives is one of those deep Thailand mysteries... the Suk 22 property it sits on is worth millions, and we're not talking baht. Massive high rise condo projects have surrounded it in recent years, and one day (sooner rather than later I fear) the venerable Silom Sauna will disappear overnight and yet another condo will take its place.
