Yes, it will be liberating for both of us I am sure!!
Problem is I am going through the same phase I always go through when I am in Bangkok, I start off in Western mode, check list of things to, time scales worked out, plans in order, everybody ready? ok, Over the top boys and take no prisoners!!
Now it is day three, and the check lists gather dust on the bedside table, all I have done today is roll out of bed when ti rak goes to work at 09.00, breakfast, gym for an hour, talk to massage ladies and drink coffee with them, take one hour massage with cute new girl. No special, I need to save it, and then back to my hotel room to meet a lady I met on Camfrog a couple of weeks ago.
I am waiting for her now. I originally invited her to my hotel for lunch but it's 3.10 already 
I am out tonight with ti rak and two of her friends and that's it, another day disapears....
Tomorrow though I definitely will get to Soi 23 and May's new place, I really really will.

Then BKK more fully seeps in to my viens in the ensuing days - and not much gets achieved throughout any given day.

She is in the shower now  Lovely lady, really nice personality, you know, smiling, happy, very beautiful and from Isaan, of course.
She is here for work and not shy about type of work she is seeking. We were in bed within 30 minutes with no mention of money at all, but of course I will give her the going rate plus tip for great attitude.

That was skilfully put, Happy. This is exactly how I would love to describe it myself. You reach LOS with lots of things to do in mind, then you find that a lot of times it is just fun drifting around doing -- nothing! Even lazing in bed or the bath alone in your hotel room can be fun just because you feel at home, and fun and frolic is at your fingertips, within kissing distance, yours to take anytime you want. Even just open the hotel room door and that nice cheery housekeeper is so lovely when she smiles and banters.
Yep! If you add the actual hours spent in LOS under the masseuse's hands or in bed with a lovely, it is quite often just a fraction of the hours you spent on your trip overall. And you come away fulfilled -- yet not.

The somewhat perfect/imperfect balance between:
“You reach LOS with lots of things to do in mind” –
And then you get into another space where to have
“Frolic at your fingertips, within kissing distance, yours to take anytime you want”...
Is- I believe a real thing...
Is that the definition of a “parallel universe” then? –at least for those whom do not live in LOS.
A juxtaposition between farangland and LOS.
(But on the flipside - its funny how all the TGs want out....)
This may mean as Mrs Xyz in Farangland – they too then experience the same effects – (in reverse).

ok, just a quick update. I went to soi 23 and can confirm that this is 100% not 'the' May Spa.
There are about 8 massage places along the same strip of the Soi and they were all empty as far as I could tell, with the full complement of girls outside almost begging potential customers (of which I was the only one at that time in the afternoon) to come in.
I think these places are all going through a very tough time at the moment.
MaySpa was back online this afternoon but as before I was unable to get any kind of reply from her to my question, 'Where is your Spa?'
She panned the camera around on a couple of ocassions to show the reception area with what seemed to be a Falang guy and Thai lady sitting patiently waiting (for who knows what).
I think this is probably the end of the road as far as finding this place is concerned.

A quick update. In March 09 I was in BKK with a list of things to do, one of which was to try to track down a place, or girl, who uses the name 'May Spa' as her user name in Camfrog.
Read page one to understand why I was so keen to find it/her.
Last night, 8 months after starting the quest, I found 'May's spa'. As I guessed at the start, May is the name of the girl working there, not the spa itself. Unfortunately, the conclusion is disappointing, as those that know the place will understand.
Here is what happened. I took my girl Jane, out to dinner at Seven Seas restaurant in Soi 4. When we finished and we were walking back to Sukhumvit for a taxi I suggested she might like a massage, a spur of the moment idea that was received with surprising enthusiasm.
What had prompted me was the sight of two massage ladies dressed in trad Thai style dress standing outside the entrance to their premises; I had no idea of the name of the place. We were taken upstairs to reception where I asked for an oil massage for Jane while I watched. A nice looking girl was allocated to us and while Jane was shown to the showers I took the massage girl aside and said I wanted a 'sexy massage'.
'Oh, you want me put fingers in' she said with a smile, to which I agreed adding that Jane knew nothing of this plan (which was true). This was greeted with a slightly surprised look but we agreed on a price, if, and only if, Jane accepted when the time came, if not, mai pen rai, I still get to see a lovely girl being massaged by another, equally lovely girl
To cut it short, when it got to the nitty gritty the massage lady asked if she could do it, which Jane declined But watching had been fun, especially the breast massage, mmm lovely
Back at reception while my girl showered off the oil, I talked to the masseuse and I told her she should not have asked, just gone ahead and done it as if it were part of the massage, to which she smiled and said she was afraid Jane would have been shocked and angry. 'I am so sorry' she said, 'mai pen rai' said I, it was just an idea and it was a nice relaxing end to the evening anyway.
What’s this to do with May Spa? Well, at the reception area I sat and waited for Jane to come down from the massage room, and took the opportunity to look around.
This looks familiar, the decor, the brick covered reception counter, the water display, the traditional Thai dress of the girls and what this in the corner but two PC's with web cams on the screens (where two employees sat and chatted to guys on MSN), pointing right at reception, just as I remembered it. This is it, everything was correct, so this is where May must work, or she did in March, anyway!
The place is Apsara on Soi 4, as some of you will have already realised. I would not encourage anyone to rush there though, we were lucky in that we got a really sweet lady of around 25, pretty and a really lovely personality. (Jane came out onto the street and said, 'I think I have a new friend, she was so lovely'.
The rest were a mixture of rough looking girls and even rougher ladyboys, however. If you like the idea of being massaged by a Ladyboy, Apsara on Soi 4 has at least 4 working there.
Final footnote. During the massage the two girls were chatting away like crazy, (they really liked eachother), and Jane told me that at one point she asked the massage girl why she worked there, 'the money' was the reply. how much?, 100K per month!

Thanks for a great edge-of-the-seat read. I too was sorely disappointed that Jane refused the "special." But hey, you said you were watching it. So was Jane aware that you were watching and, I wonder, was that why she refused the special ? Or did you watch from behind a curtain, ha ha. Or, have I got it all wrong ?

Too bad you didn't get a massage girl who was more of a pro (and more into girls), who would have properly heeded your wishes and sprung the grope on her unannounced. though, I have to say, in my experience with TGs willing to be "adventurous," your chances of "success" at getting your girl properly finger-f***ed on the massage table would have been much better had you not been there watching, haha...just sayin'!

Very true! you should have asked for a massage for yourself in the next room. 15mn before finish, you then would have discreetly entered Jane's room and watched her get finger f***ed... or not.
