BK- hope this ain't in the worong place, if it is move it where you will.
Bros' seems to me it's time to talk prices once again. Seems I've been working the oily venues hard this past week and swear that I've encountered a lot more greed than I recall in days gone by. Or am I the only one getting hammered for 2000baht/bang where ever I go these days? Understand however- I was sitting out the games on the 'outta-country/inactive-punters' bench from Aug 03 till Nov of 04 [long stretch, I know!]
Anyway, in the past week I've been in various MP places in Bang Na, Samut Prakan, up and down the Sukhumvit, at Nana Plaza and I keep getting confronted with some very adamant requests for 2000 baht/session. Pissing me off it is, too! What's it all about? Anyone else getting this pressure?
And here, just yesterday, I read in the paper there's indeed pricing inflation amongst construction workers in Thailand due to the Tsunami aftermath wherein wages have gone up instantaneously from 200 to 400 baht/day for those guys. After reading that, and watching some guys bust their balls on construction sites about town, I'm of the mind the gals working on their backs [for 1500 baht] got it pretty damned easy in relation to their construction brothers wages.
I'll be damned if I'm gonna dole out a 500baht/bang raise just like that. I mean hell, the step up is simply too great. What happened to the 1750 baht bang? Or the 1625 baht bang? Know what I mean? Hell, it's only a shag for crying out loud. Plus, they wanna go short-time only these days. Is long-time going extinct, or what?
Any one care to share their thoughts, experiences?

It is probably guys like me.
I earn a decent amount.
I am happy to pay 2000; 2500 or more. Don't really care that much, because I don't go that often.
Just wanna have a good time, and anyway, the girl may be lazy - she could be working a decent job somewhere instead - but I don't care that much about that either. Pay a decent amount, and she's happy for the next time or whatever.
The economy has picked up around here; and right now there are a bunch of white guys wandering around after not going to the south. So supply vs. demand I guess.
That said, I know for sure I get more freebees than anyone else on any of these boards, so I guess that's why when I go p4p I am happy to pay.

COuld it be because it is high season and more customers to go around. Wait for the off season and prices will come down. Try the Sulkumvit strip or the bier Garden for cheaper action.

Skip, here are my 2 cents worth...
You know the saying "its better to sin and ask for forgiveness"? - Maybe thats what you are getting from the BGs & FLs. They are better served asking for high and coming down rather than waiting for you to offer that much and/or give them more than negotiated after the fact (out of the goodness of your heart). Or it could be that they are not interested in you and so shoot out a high price to make it really worth their time. My bro liked a girl in Rainbow I, she quoted 4000b for ST, you think she was busted up when he declined? You're a vet, no need to tell you to keep looking around.
At the MPs, some have the 500b falang charge that may shoot your quote up to 2000b (Caesars has a 2100b Falang surcharge - making it 4200b). The oilys should still be standard 1500 for the girl + cost of the massage you pay downstairs.
But like D53 says, look around, you will find more girls at the 1500 ST rate than 2000+

No, I do. I get them all free. I do not pay bar girls. I do, however, give them a tip. The sex is free. I just leave large tips.
