Hi.

I would like to see the place succeed, and all places, but 1 out of 3 does not pass inspection.

Very well articulated seajohn and joins my list of places to avoid.
Many new suppliers in P4P seem to start off well then quickly tail off. They don't care and they don't think, especially where farangs are concerned.

Strangely enough, so many Thai businesses (even those that are somehow foreign owned but Thai managed, like Number One) seem to reflect this to our way of looking at things and doing business.
It doesn't seem to make sense, since you'd think that a new business is something the owner (of an SME especially) would want to nurture and pay a lot of attention to. One gets the impression that they're just concentrating on their projected (imagined) profits and none of the operational details past the initial hiring and decorations... One gets that impression. Maybe why so many go down the tubes. Too bad.
Well, I still have hopes. But not on my time...

My observation is that Thai people tend to believe more in hanging a few amulets and pray & give a beer to Rama V to "attract customer" than in making customers happy...doing anything to ensure return business from an existing customer is an unknown practice in Thailand, the general idea being that if you are happy you will come back anyway, and if you are not you are a "problem customer" so better to get rid of you and secretely hope you will go "create problem" to another shop
Foreign owned business are very often left in the hands of the Thai wife while Khun Farang go f*** around boasting that he is a businessman LOL
