The New "Jack & Betty" on Soi 33
As Jack & Betty went bankrupt, the new joint in its place finished the renovations.
Name: Tengoru or tegoku or some Japanese name like that.
I went there yesterday and the 2 ladies at the desk showed me a menu where oil massage is@500 thb / hour which is on par with soi 33 oilies.
I looked at the pictures and saw only one girl interesting (they have only a few girls now that they just opened). I asked to see her in the flesh and she did not look as pretty as the picture but pretty enough for me to agree on 1 hour oily.
The lady asked me for 500 and when I handed her 1, 000 thb she said "oh, it is also 1, 500 for Special service"
I told her I wanted a massage (and wanted to negotiate with the girl in the room). She said it is special massage only.
So I left.
There could have been a misunderstanding where she was informing me about the extras to pay in the room, and I understood it was to be paid on the spot.
Anyhow, if anyone is interested, it looks clean.

Really annoying and boring when the Thai behave like this and treat us like retards, "informing" us of things we 100% know...
Its a way for them to feel superior to the farang, nothing else
Nevermind if its bad for business, nevermind if nowaday there is internet and that people do speak together of how they are treated...
Jack&betty went bankrupt, this one will likely do the same if they manage to make guy like Nic go away LOL

Tengoku is the correct name... Japanese owner and management style. I went through the same drill, and was quoted 1,000 "off menu". This mandatory surcharge for "special" is an odd pricing strategy... the same fee applies regardless of what sort of special service the customer ends up receiving... in other words expensive for hand relief and below market for intercourse. This fee goes to the provider, not to the house. Those looking for FS are in fact getting a fair price, but it is offensive that the fee is both mandatory and fixed... and must be paid before service is delivered. This may be acceptable to the Japanese market, but it is not an improvement on the standard pricing policies already in place on the same soi, or elsewhere in Bangkok.
The interior has been rennovated (badly needed new rugs, wallpaper, larger beds) and is above average in cleanliness and functionality. I was shown photos of a dozen ladies, none of them exceptional... with the required light skin and cutsy Japanese nicknames. Most ladies working this market have solid massage skills, and my choice (Izumi from Chiang Mai) was no exception... she got naked without prompting and delivered a strong oil massage and an average sexual encounter... she was both pleasant and willing.
There are better options in the area, but the place is workable as long as you are prepared to endure the curious ground rules.

PS: One more source of pricing confusion: the "standard" room pricing is 400/500/600 - but there are two VIP rooms available (larger room, larger shower, larger bed and a mirror). The regular VIP attracts a b300 surcharge, the "super" VIP is yours for an extra b500.

Seem like this MP like to confuse customers with a wierd pricing...soon they will do like some restaurant where its impossible to work out how much your meal will cost you with their "499 baht+++++"
Imagine having to pay massage+room+extra+VAT+service charge for the maid+water for the shower+extra for towel+laundry bill for towel+extra for condom+extra for KY...
You pay money you farang!

Deep File, 800B for a 2 hour oil massage,400/500/600B for the room,and 1000B for special services adds up to 2200 to 2400B.
That is pretty much what you would have to pay anywhere for FS at Bangkok oilies.
The significant difference is that the girl gets only 1000B as opposed to the usual 1500B unless,of course, it is standard practice for Bangkok massage parlours to charge the girl room rent of say 500B.I suspect that some oilies do make such a charge,but I doubt that they are anything other than a small minority.

Forget this place guys, leave it to the Japanese, there are far better and fair-er places in Bangkok that have a regular pricing Model.
and if you're looking for OM, then price is 500, not 400.

400/500/600 is shorthand for TTM/OM/Lotion per hour. So a 2 hour OM is 1000, plus the surcharge = 2000. Most venues give a modest discount for 2 hours... Teen would be 800 + 1500 (tip) for FS... As I remarked, those looking for FS are getting a fair price but those looking for less are definitely not. And you are obliged to pay for FS whether or not that is what you want, and whether or not the service is satisfactory.
In short, take Nic's advice and patronize the many better venues that do not offer such contorted pricing.
