yes, a gym AND a pool, asking too much, for that price and they'll expect you to stay for 3 months, minimum

Ok, stupid question alert.......hey, I am a newby. Generally, how much do you end up paying for the utilities over the couse of a month. I guess IŽll have the air-con on during the night and the tv for a few hours a day...no cooking, a daily shower. I get the feeling that some places have low rates, but then hit you with expenses. Btw, I considering Greenery House (8-13k a month, my budget) with pool and gym, although the location could be a problem. I was also looking at Rompo Mansion and Sathorn Saint View, but IŽve since read some bad reports on them. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Looking for advice on a couple of places: VP Tower near Victory monument - nothing too recent about this place in the forums. Can anybody confirm that it's still a decent place to stay AND that it's girl-friendly (a must!) Patumwan House - their website seems to be dead... I sent an email a couple weeks ago and got no reply. They do have a number but I'm trying to avoid an international call where my questions may or may not be understood, and the answers may or may not be a random 'yes' or 'no' Is P-house usually full? what are my chances of just showing up and getting a room there in late June? Any advice on these places would be helpful...or if anybody knows a better one close to the action between 15 - 22K. possibly up to 25K if it's really nice. Thanks!

The House By the Pond looks interesting. What is the current info on this one? I an VERY AGAINST paying in advance anywhere. If I don't like it, I'll never get a refund. Anyone know if that is negotiable? I can't find a decent link for the Sukhumvit Suites soi 13. I found 1 in mostly Thai. Anyone have feedback? I'm looking for a place In that are for 20-30k for a couple of months, closer to NEP the better, but not looking for a hole in the wall. Info appreciated

That's exactly what I thought - until I visited it. Doesn't square at all with their photos. A dark dreary place - very run down when I saw it. DO NOT pay in advance!

Wow, thanks for the info. It looks pretty damm possible in the photo's. I had hoped that it would be an viable option. I don't see a need for prepayment either. Just curious how people felt on the matter. I'm getting frustrated searching..

Come on guys !!! surely with the knowledge base here we could help a little more than just knocking down suggestions they finally come up with? Input needed, I would help myself but never had an extended rental in BKK. Try Acute realty, http://www.thaiapartment.com/ seem to have quite a reasonable choice. I'm sure you've done the web search and are just looking for confirmation on quality, come on guys he's not asking to sleep with your #1 mia noi, give the guy a heads-up. cris4700 you also need to be a bit more realistic about pre-payment,, of cause most places will want money up-front,, why else hold the room for someone they don't know. Suggest you negotiate a pre-payment for a few days or a week so both vendor and buyer get a reasonable deal or BETTER get a thumbs up from an experienced BKTF member and pay. P Mansion out at Ladprao looks suitable for Jitu http://www.pmansion.com/ - 22k but I cannot give real feedback as have never stayed there. http://www.moveandstay.com/bangkok/apartments The President apartments in the link above, have in general good feed-back from members here. Regards Mel.
