BK, yeah that is the plan. But I would have preferred to go to place like Pattya which is by the sea but it is out of question. I have to just look at the Manila bay. Are there a few other places in Manila worth visiting?

Onera, think about Puerto Galera, an easy bus and ferry ride from Manila
Just for my info is the Pearl Lane Hotel one of the better choices for a reasonable price, the location sounds great, security boxes or in room safe, did I read right $50 per night, went to their website, no e-mail resversations?
How hard is it to cash TC's? in this area?

Don, thanks for the suggestions but I am not sure if the ferry ride is my liking unless Puerto Galera is teaming with beauties. BK's recommendation is Pearl Garden and I checked Agoda but they don't have the Standard room. They only have the deluxe for $61. I have sent them an email from their web site and waiting for their response.

I usually stay in the deluxe room at Pearl Garden because the standard is usually booked way in advance. The standard room kind of small and the only difference in the bathroom is the deluxe has a tub also. You might want to check their sister hotel Pearl Lane. It runs about $40 and up and is a block and a half away.
