I haven't been to that part of town since 1998. Far from Burgos. But, can go to LA CAFE and EDSA is doable. Up to you.
My recommendation is to find a place for a similar price closer to Makati. Depends on your work too - keep that in mind.

Visited Manila, Philippines on a Biz trip (1st May - 7th May 2011) and had a wonderful time over there. I stayed in Waterfront hotel & Casino (Manila Pavilion & Previously it was Holiday Inn), a 4 star rated located in Downtown. The room rate was USD 60/- per day inc ABF (Rate applicable only for minimum stay of 5 days or more). The hotel is 100 % girl friendly and close to Manila Bay Cafe (LA Cafe).
I visited LA Cafe twice during my stay over there. The bar has two floors with a very crowded ground floor bar and live band, pool tables upstairs. The drinks prices are very reasonable (Peso 80/- for a San Mig). The best time to visit this bar is around 3 - 6 pm. Appox 150-200 BG around this time. Some of them are really stunners. The ongoing rates are between Peso 1,000 - 1,500 for ST & around Peso 2,000 for LT but no BF.

Sorry to be pedantic but Manila Bay Cafe (LA Cafe) is not Burgos Street (both have there charms mind you) as this thread is named after! Its a little misleading, Burgos prices are twice this minimum plus a stupidly high BF!
