I'm bringing this subject over from one started in Soapy thread about Krungthon complex. (please refer). The discussion there led to karaoke joints which have either massage or vip rooms upstairs. Speaking Thai would help a lot in this venue. A girl sits with you from a selection. Some are hot, some are not. There's a slight charge for her company, or you could go upstairs to room and song and big sofa where extras are provided. Charges should be as anywhere, but because there are few farangs going here probably could get cheaper.
I've been to a few. Last week I went to a place called Gaew Waen Thong on Chan Rd, near St Louis 3, and had a beer with a fox before suggesting some hanky panky upstairs. The vip room cost 250 baht. Her company downstairs only 100 an hour or something. anyway up in the room she was pretty intent on singing songs, until I told her how much I'd pay for full service on the right on the sofa (1000baht). I think she was a little shy, and I was a little buzzed. She suggested a handjob. I said ok for less money. I guess that decided her so she lifted her legs and peeled down her panties out of her skirt ( a very erotic maneuver). Babaganoosh---You are the man with the map! If someone wrote about great sex on the moon I bet you'd pull out some astronomical charts!
The best way to get to Chan Rd from Suk. is a taxi from Asoke go over the Klong Toey bridge and enter Narathiwat Rd (the big rd with a canal and the Chong Nonsi BTS), go up to Chan Rd and turn left toward the River. Before you get Sathu Pradit you'll have passed one place on the left. I can't recall it's name. Go on past Saint Louis soi and there's two more on the right, small, but you'll see the tell-tale signs which your instincts will alert you to (one of which in my earlier report). Then there's another much farther down, past the highway, almost to the river on the left which I haven't been in yet.
There's probably going to be some traffic on Chan as you pass some markets.

Re the map you posted--
St. Louis Hospital would only be a landmark if you're on Sathorn or coming from the Surasuk station. You could enter St Louis Soi 3 from there. There is an S&P restaurant on the corner of Sathorn and St Louis soi 3 (also known as Sathorn soi 11 from Sathorn).
Or you could enter Chan from the big road you also see on the map (with a long long long name) Narathiwat.... getting it from Rama 3 or Sathorn.

Riffled through my BKK tourist map cache at the office today. Now reading your directions loud-n-clear. The maps I found online are really misleading as far as scale and distance goes. Now see that taxi transpo (straight to the Narai hotel) is the way to go from Sukhumvit, as you already suggested.

babganoosh > Don;t know about the karaoke, but this hotel has a massage service on the 3rd floor, you don't get to choose the girl, i've only seen one cute 18yr old, others were hags, cost 300B an hour, 500 for HJ/BJ no FS offered. Also if you come out of the main entrnace and start walking back to the main road, there is a big building on the left, door is at the back, don;t know if you know but it is a Thai MP, with fishbowl, 400B gets you a 90 minute Massage, HJ 300, BJ 500, FS 800, no shower in the rooms and basic facilities, but a few nice looking girls and freindly papsans, for a fee I could show you  !!!
