For me, an sm friendly hotel has two aspects. Firstly, management can cope with dungeon like noise. Secondly, a girl/ Mistress feels comfortable working in this atmosphere. Tokyo's love hotels have allocated sm rooms. While I do not expect the same in Thailand, I am an essentially shy person and ask for tolerance, acceptance and a degree of privacy. In a way, I am asking for the very qualities in abundance on this very helpful message board.
Oaktoad - your post is good. However, the key to a good Mistress is attitude and exposure. Over time, a place like the Cave will give the women access to a wide variety of experiences. In addition, some of the women or Mistresses will recognise their power and develop Domme like attitudes.

Maybe, maybe not.. the Cave has never been a real SM type deal.. it was more of a playpen for simulated stuff...
now that they have no ability to do anything on premises (they used to) there is little ability for the girls to learn..
compare that to girls that go to work for the "legend in his own mind" or mistress midori, where they can actually get trained..
I don't think that going to the Cave is going to do much for anyone..
The Castle might be a bit better, but even there it has been toned down so much as to not be worth the trip?
If you think about it.. it can cost B3-4K for an hour or so at the Cave.. Mistress Midori charges B8K (US$200) for three hours.. and you get trained people and a much better facility..
I can't comment on CJ, but my guess is that if they offer shorter sessions that the price comparision would be similar..
Better to pay a bit more for the real thing then high prices for a HJ in a dark area with someone who dresses a bit like a dom, but is in reality not much more than a bargirl

I respect your advice with regards to Midori. That said, she was trained at CJs so the boss of that place should get some credit too.
I am not convinced girls working at the Cave/ Castle might not gain a degree of competency meeting international subs. Perhaps the first piece of valuable learning is that Mistressing pays well 
The quoted prices at Midori's and CJs are very expensive by Thai standards. I am not sure whether many subs are BFing girls at the Castle and the Cave, but I think a better long term deal could be arranged. Personally, I get a thrill out of seeing a beautiful woman learn the trade. I also like the element of choice at the Cave and Castle (which is probably not availabe at CJs and Midori's place).

YEs, you do get a choice at the Cave/Castle, but what from what I have seen most of the girls have almost no experience in being doms..
What they learn from subs that come in is probably pretty limited...
I spent a lot of time there before the bust and most of what I was was more the girls being subs then being doms.
Again it was a nice place to go play, but now IMO not worth the money.. you can get dominated as well at Eden if you ask for it

I started a thread about The Castle in the Pattaya section, but no replies.
although I did see A customer go in there one night.
Obiwan & I walked walked by last night on the way to Buffalo Bar and it was dead, but then again, how could you tell ?, can't see inside 
When Calzoid was in Pattaya he went back to BKK to do The Cave, coulda saved some travelling if we'd known about The Castle then

Clearly, the trick is to go in and give it a go. 900 baht might be steep for Pattaya, but it is not expensive in terms of worldwide prices for this sort of thing. The fact that they are sticking to their guns on the 900 baht means that the business must be viable at these prices.

Spent the the evening of the 5th at the Castle in Pattaya with my TGF. It was our first trip there, though we have been to the Cave several times.
Main event was the police "inspection" which took about 30 minutes. They were walking around asking what each device was for, looking very interested. New mama-san at the Castle was pretty spooked, as were most of the girls. It still amazes me even after years of being in Thailand, that the police will hassle places like the Cave and the Castle where actual illegal activities are rare.
Girls were nice, generally. There were some obnoxious farangs there trying to make as much noise as possible.
Generally, the girls' style is favorable to what we have found at the Cave, where some tend to act like nana girls in latex. Granted that is what they are, BUT they could at least PRETEND.
Anyway, if the price doesn't concern you much, try one or both of these places. It's a nice change. What happens and where it happens is sort of up to the circumstances. Take away was quoted at 3K and 1500 baht bar fine.
BTW, the girls are NOT professional doms/subs in the category of Chateau Jade. Most will switch happily, depending on the customer. I'd recommend having a game plan before you go in - they will look to you for what you want/are into. A few have the style down well, and really know the ropes.
