I have only been to Dr BJ the one time. It doesn't have the sleeze of star of light or Lolita's, is way overpriced at 1000 baht if you take a so called "consultant" which happens not because they are attractive but because the "nurses" at 700 are so unattractive. The fact that you are strickly on a 30 minute timer (phone in room rings) and the impersonal manner of the management and service just turned me off. As mentioned to each their own but for me Dr BJ is about the worse speciality bar in Thailand.

Few days ago I was about to enter this bar, and asked if I could park my tiny foldable electric bicycle inside.
NO NO NO, put it in the street! CAN NOT!
(no way I park it outside, it will be stolen in a wink!)
I just smiled and said, "oh, ok, you have too much customers? NO problem, so many other bars you know!"
The mamasan was pointing at me telling her girls I was crazzy when I left...and some of the girlw looked pissed the mamasan was kicking out a customer.
What a nice place and friendly management,
they are not about to see me or my money ever again.
Its the very first time any place refuse to take my bicycle inside (it fold into a small object and can be placed under a table and I keep it very clean). In other bars they keep it for me and if I know the girls I let them have fun with it while I m busy upstairs.

tried Soms Haven for the first time 2 days ago about 6:30pm. only 5 girls available. Nothing as young and slim as I prefer but picked one woman (30years old). polite, and ok looking, service average but room was good as had mirrors to further enhance the perv experience. I did note that there is a notice in the room stating that 30/40 minutes is the time allotted and a further charge will be added if longer. I didn't like that. I wont return unless they have a better selection of staff. overall average but definitely annoyed by the 30/40 minutes notice.

I bought onea few month ago in Bangkok (Chnatown area), price was 27K, it has proved reliable overtime and allready saved me more than its price in taxi (and I m no longer stuck in traffic). The battery last all day long and recharge in about 2 to 3 hours.
Police dont arrest me anymore (just smile and wave me throught with the occasional "Vely good!")
One can ride BTS, Skytrain or fold it into the boot of a taxi if need be.
Everyone like it EXCEPT the mamasan at Dr BJ
