How true.
But you have to acknowledge the fact that the majority of them have a lot of sex during their waking hours anyway, so it is not the same as working all day without physical contact with anybody, as would be in the majority of jobs. And that is not to say that having customers all day is in any way a substitute for enjoying a mature and healthy adult relationship with somebody. It isn't.
Yes, I would say that quite a few ladies have a favourite or two amongst the customers, or even a boyfriend who is not a Thai man, whether that man lives in Bangkok or only is able to visit periodically.
And yes, it is a lonely life. They, for the most part, cannot function in such a job unless they can reach and exercise an emotional unattachment to what they do and with whom. It has to be a job.
