Well, I don't know what the tourist guides tell people about when the high season ends, but if you were here, you'd have noticed a lot of tourists still enjoying Thailand and particularly Bangkok well into the month of May of this year.
I think in the past it was advised not to come to Thailand for April, the hottest month. But in recent times
tourists have been coming to enjoy the delights of the Songkran festival in the middle of April and loving it.
If you ask the girls at the bar when the traffic in customers began to dwindle a bit, they'd say about the end of April or the beginning of May.
Things do change sometimes, but I'm not keen to enter into some debate about when the high or low season ends. It has just been a personal impression for this current year.
As for my own usage of the term 'high season', it was within the context of the Star of Light Bar and not of Thailand in general. But then maybe the guide-books wrong-foot me on that one too.

I think you are right Cunni, in that the high season for the Star of Light has a far broader span that the trinket-buying/. camera-clicking tourist season.
Guys who make it to Bangkok for their annual or bi-annual liberal pole polishing don't confine themselves to just a couple of months. The reputation of the bar and the delights therein, however covertly spread, draws an attentive army of well-wishers from far and wide who would not refuse to come (?) after a particular guide-book date.
Something else far more persuasive than travellers advice drives them to visit the Star of Light for a solid, good and thorough blow-job.
Aren't the new girls delightful ?
And so quickly trained in the oral skills.
The bar certainly have got their professional development programme down to an art.

I chose two of the new ladies yesterday for a session at the short-time hotel in the other soi, and I must say that I was greatly impressed by their enthusiasm and apparent enjoyment, however illusionary.
Very polite. Very friendly and a delight to share a couple hours with. If the Star of Light bar has trained them in all of these social graces as well as skills of sensitivity and the sensual arts of their profession, then their training is perfection.

Aaaah.
(Yet another sigh of relief).
I finally succeeded in hooking up with my favorite university girl who also happens to be an extremely hot, young, and talented fellatrix yesterday evening. To my chagrin, she was not attired in her university uniform. I am stingy. I hate to share. But the fact is, the girl has chosen a life for herself, at least for now, and it is impossible to monopolize a girl in this line of work--indeed, it is a chimera, I believe, where any woman is concerned, regardless of what she does for a living.
