Yes, I've had the same thing happen to me with ladies from the Star of Light...woken up only to find that they have gone to work mid-morning but have swept the floor, washed up, folded and put away clothes and left the place as I would wish to find it.
And yes, they are lovely, lovely people. There is no denying that. But I must say that.........What some of us get, is because we are known and are regulars and we have to some varying degrees a tangible relationship with individuals who happen to work there.
I wouldn't want to think of some newbie or casual hotel-placed tourist coming to the Star of Light and after bar-fining them, expecting the same treatment. They wont get it.

Who needs a maid? Next time your place is a mess, just pop down to SOL and take a lady or two LT. Make it a point to sleep in late the next morning, and when you wake up the place is clean and you might just get a good-by BJ to start your day.

I have had a lady or ladies from the Star of Light over at my place for the night on many occasions over the years.
But I can say that not once have they washed the dishes or mopped the floor or folded clothes or put out the cat.
What I can say is that they are, as previous posters have indicated, lovely, lovely people.
I too, count them as my friends. And if you are uncomfortable with that, I'm afraid that that is your problem, but I hope that you will recover from your blindness.

Well I can guarantee that none of the SOL (or other Girls) will ever set foot in my appartment LOL...
on a more serious note, I believe that friendship and trust can build up between a Working Girl and a Customer. The Path is long, cahotic, but it can eventually happen...
why not? are we primarily human beings (with Feelings) prior to being Whores, BGs, Mongers.. you name it.
I believe in Friendship between a man and a woman, and I believe that one can befriend a working girl in Mighty Bangkok.
Of course, I would not presume that a newbie could get a girl's trust instantly, but over time, you get to see that underneath the hard ass BG is just a woman that built emotional and trust walls to protect herself in her ruthless work environment.
Once you become a regular patron and that the girls see that you have no ill intent, the walls come down and they are willing to share with you a little piece of their everyday life. I have this kind of relationship with a girl in Bkk (a working girl), I am not her customer and will never be, but I enjoy hanging out with her and talking, nothing more.
Sorry for the boring post... I'll go back to SOL soon enough to post another review

First experience at SoL.
I thought putting on a show in public would be difficult, but in fact there was nothing to it. All went well.
At 17:00, only one other customer. He was busy having a drink at the bar while I was being serviced on the couch.
A word of warning though. When it came to paying I was asked for 1400 Baht. A little expensive, I said. They brought it down to 700 (`only joking`).
Yeah, yeah. Be warned.
I reduced the tip in consequence.

I've never known a lady at the Star of light to over-charge...ever.
Was she a new girl trying to pull the wool, without knowing the policy of the bar.
the bar itself is very tough on any new girl trying it on.
I remember the last time it happened on the girl's first day....she wasn't there for long. They wont tolerate it.
Anyway, don't be put off. That is definitely not the way they operate. The reputation of the bar is paramount. they depend on return and regular custom.

The thing that strikes me about the SOL is how nice everyone is.
While it could be described as sordid, that was not the vibe I got. Fun ladies, fellow customers seemed discrete (well, you know what I mean) and what can you say?
A healthy sense of humor, and an admirable work ethic.
One small anecdote for you.
I had been suffering from some BKK "blues" and as a consequence of my dehydration (and previous efforts) it would appear that I produced little enough ejaculate to convince my lady that I had not "finished" when indeed I had.
The poor girl was seriously concerned, and made super-human efforts (sufficient to maintain my erection) to make me finish.
While I appreciated the one good thing to come (sorry!) from my illness, the lady was distraught.
I finally stopped her, explained that she was wonderful, and that I really enjoyed myself and that it was not her fault that I did not "finish."
There was no point in tryng to explain the whole situation to her, so I bought her a LD, thanked her profusely and gave her a nice tip.
Next trip, I will BF one of these girls, not for her oral skills per se, but for the friendly and concerned attitude. Really excellent.
Strange circumstances to find such a quality product and customer service attitude.
I would be very, very surprised if anyone ran into overcharging or any other problems for that matter. I suggest the earlier post refers to either a joke or a misunderstanding.

SHIT !!! It's only been a few days and I already miss SOL.... went to Lolitas last night as it was closest to where I was and was too late to make the trip to Silom.
Well, once you've tried SOL, Lolitas just doesn't quite cut it anymore... sure, the comfort is there, it's less cramped... but the ladies attitude... well... just not the same.

One thing about the SOL, it seems to be a universal constant - it doesn't change, unlike other places, e.g. Nana Plaza attitude in general, with an example here (http://bkkx.com/cgi-bin/forum/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic=482&start=309
SOL knows what it's niche market is, and carries if off with fun and style, as Sporadic said. Even an advancing ager like myself (unremembered between visits as the gap is so long) is made to feel truly welcome, and not a service burden. Why waiting for the back stool ("Ooooh, you shyyyy, noooo problem"), the lady paid constant attention to me, with some very erotic back of the neck strokings and tongue in ear, rather than crude crotch grabs characteristic of other bj bars.
Besides, where else can you buy a buddy a beer AND a bj? (thanks, Sporadic).
As to overcharges, when I returned the next day solo, after finishing the beer and incidentals, the bill was as straight as ever: 80 baht Singha, 700 baht delivery charge. Took my 20 baht change for use in buying the day's BKK Post.
