Just interested if Mel Gippsland thinks SoL is dank and smelly compared to say Rose, Kangaroo or the old Star of Love BJ bars? Or has he never been in those dinghy places in Pattaya in Soi 6 and the like? What about the old cupboard in Pinnochio bar? SoL aint Buck House certainly, but its better than half the places George Michael goes a -queening...

I entirerly agree with NicFrenchy.
It's just not worth wasting energy over someone who unfortunately does not possess an open mind.
If a closed-minded person goes anywhere, with predetermined views, any field report will merely serve as a re-inforcement of his own psychological problems.
If a guy admits to hating most of the world's population, when he turns round and says'but I love you, and other weird people like you, brother...'.................
.......... it just doesn't sound convincing to most. Does it ?
He is deterrmined to fill in a stinky field report about SOL when next he can make his way here.
Trouble is that the stench that will fill his nostrils then, will be the same stench that fills them now.

Cunnilingual, I had no pre concieved ideas before my vist there during a Dr Love tour,,. My descriptions of the bar as exactly as I saw them and unfortunately smelt them.The other party on the tour was even more disgusted than myself.
As stated, I have NOTHING againsst the gals that work there and would be more than happy to bar-fine at least one of the ones I saw,, but PLEASE don't try and tell me its a nice bar.

I don't think anyone would disagree with Smell the Mel when he says that the SOL bar is small, but then there are thousands of bars in South-East Asia just as small if not smaller. People don't go there for the size of the place.
As for an unpleasant odour, I've been there many, many times and I've never noticed a bad odour. Customers' cheap Australian after-shave ? Yes. Different brands of perfume and scented alcohol wipes ? Yes.
Incense burning sticks in front of images of the Buddha ? Yes.
Flowers in arrangements around the bar in front of Buddhist and animist images ? Yes.
Unless some guy is into strange habits like sticking his nose down the drains or toilet, I think this has mainly to do with the fact that there are some people whom you can take into a rose garden and all that they can do is smell the thorns.
So what, if the SOL bar is not top-notch. If you don't like less than top-notch, then you leave it alone and stay away. Your choice, if that is your opinion.
But you don't keep on sniffing around like a soi dog muttering ' I don't like this'...........to yourself all day.
Go to somewhere where you can enjoy life, as opposed to whining about it.

Dick in Situ,, that is EXACTLY what I did,, left FAST.
The members on the tour hated the place and Dr Love seemed more than happy to leave immediately.
I have not hung around the place, sniffing as you so nicely put it.
But as this forum is set-up to inform members of what is available in BKK etc and comments on the quality of places are welcomed, then I will continue to advertise what I see as the reality of SOL.
Possibly great gals, certainly a BJ bar,, but not at all a nice place, in any sense ( sight / smell especially.

I happen to have read in entirety the post of Cunnilingual's which you have just partially quoted from and I thought the whole point of Cunnilingual's post which you have just partially quoted from was actually in criticizing the weaker areas of human nature, through using a memory of himself as an example and a warning... not defending them, as your partial quote seems to twist it
...... How does that strategy measure to the way you have defended your own genocidal comments, your controversial 'thoughts', which depict another deplorable aspect of human nature about which we also need to educate each other in order to make us aware of it and hopefully lessen the damage done?
Now you have accused members on this thread of twisting the truth... Why would they do that, I don't know or can't imagine... But what have you just done?
I know. We all get so consumed in the competition and challenge of being smart enough on a board about our senses are our sexes. Maybe it's a good time to pull our noses out of each others' business/pleasure and stick them back in a fine lady's rump. It's a much better fit. And I can assure you that no matter what she ate that day, it will smell fairer than the trash people like to talk on BTF.
